Ouchieee Wrist Hurts

CC,
I have the same wrist problem. When did your start hurting? Mine is killing me right now and it's right at the spot where my hand joins my arm. It hurts to press on it and just by itself. It affects my grip some days, especially for doing biceps. I hope someone chimes in with the magic cure.

I had this problem about 10 years ago when I delivered newspapers .. The wrist pain was in the arm the newspapers were resting on during the work. I solved it by using an elastic tape around my wrist when doing the work, and by trying to give my wrist as much rest as possible (I only did this job once a week, otherwise I should have given it up). So I think the first thing for the both of you is, to give your wrists the rest they need, and after a few weeks, start working out again with less weight and proper supportive tape around your wrist and see what happens... Good luck!

I found this useful site on the topic .

It happened to me too, so what I did in addition to an elastic support around it, was to warm them up really well before what you will be doing. Some glucosamine can help too.

I used to do a data entry position for a year and actually left b/c it was aggravating old injuries (back and shoulder) and creating new ones (hand and wrist). I thought maybe I was getting CTS and the pain decreased once I quit. Now it only comes back every now and again. I am going to try a support on it.

thanks for the info. good luck with yours cc.

wateengedoe2 THank you for your response but actually I believe that exercise may do more "harm" than good....
I believe, f I bulid up my extensor muscle this may alleviate some of the symptoms.... Any thoughts?
