OTC anti-estrogens

Based on what I have seen so far, I would say calcium d-glucarate is the best anti-estrogen OTC. The reason I say this is because they have been studying it at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, one of the more prestigious facilities, and apparently in preliminary investigation have found it to be an effective alternative to Tamoxifen for improving estrogen clearance.

Another positive is that it is dirt cheap. One online site I know of sells one of the highest quality brands for around $15 bucks for a month's supply at an average dose.

However, as nearly everything in the world of nutritional supplementation is changing, this info will no doubt be outdated by better and better things in the future.

Molecular Nutrition's Anti-E, heard it worked very well for some people. PA is also coming out w/ one I think called Aromastat, don't know which will be better.

If you have excess hormones of either nature, then yes, it will clear them. The worry with estrogen is that it tends to accumulate and promotes toxicity of certain sorts.

Depending on what you're looking to do with supplementing with an anti-estrogen then I suppose it might matter at that point.

But no, to my knowledge, it does not clear anywhere near as much test as est. This could be because of the relative toxic surplusses of things that are inherently estrogenic. Yet much less that is androgenic. However, no mention has been made of lowering testosterone from a baseline normal level. So the chances of it actually lowering your test levels appears to be slight. However, being that Calcium d-Glucarate is somewhere in the comparable range to Tamoxifen, then it is nearly assured to conjugate and lower estrogen levels.

So in my opinion, no, it won't lower test levels significantly unless you're trying to take it during a PH cycle. After a cycle is a good time to take it anyway. I've heard some people say they don't get good size gains from PH when they take Calcium d-glucarate additional. I'm sure that either could be the lowered levels of estrogen as well as the removal of surplus test. So it appears to be something useful in between cycles to induce normality of hormone levels asap.

Thanks backdoc. Karma to you. I all ways knew that Calcium d-Glucarate helped with estrogen but allways thought it "threw the baby out with the bath water" so to speak.

edgecrusher, What I know about dim is that it is not truly a anti estrogen. It makes your body produce a better estrogen and helps clear out the bad estrogens. it also can help with dhea and freeing up some test( which I'm not sold on yet).

I was under the impression that zinc, up to a certain point, acts as an anit-aromatase. Was this part of the ZMA pitch?
