Has anyone had a bad experience using this stuff or any other thermo? Is this the kind of tragedy we will be hearing more of in the future, or is it an isolated incident

Most Xenedrine users experience "the jitters" which is the extent of their side effects. But you have to use your head when taking a supp like this. If you have high blood pressure or a family history of heart trouble, you want to stay away from it.
Personally, I've never had a problem using any of the ECA-type products, other than maybe some sleep loss.

I have used Hydroxycut for 2 years. At first it was for weight loss, now its to speed up my metabolisim and give me energy for the late night workouts. I think everyone's body is different. I don't feel much in the way of sides from this stuff. I sleep well, I don't have the jitters and I stick to a strick diet much better when I am taking them. It's all good so far.

I repect you view on this but i bet more than half of the elite fitness dances with thermos.
Is it just me or does anyone else think he wasn't just doing epehdrine/ephedra? maybe its b/c i live where 7-9months outta the year it's 95deg with 90% humidity that i find it hard to believe that someone dropped of heatstroke when it was 81 outside??? body temp of 108 to me sounds like DNP or something similar perhaps? i know heatstroke can happen at that temp but........?
Well...you know that the team is not going to blame it on pushing their guys in the heat, not enough water...and waring VERY hot uniforms...

Spatts did make a good point...epheda and ephedrine...although they have similar qualities...but they are different....
ephedra is plant related and ephedrine is the clinical type...i take ephedrine HCL tabs instead of the ephedra....
i do not take them at all if I am on...I did however partake in 4 speed stacks a day and 2 eph HCL tabs before training on a daily basis....i have since cut back when off.....but, i am a fim believer that if taken correctly....you can shred up...

Just my opinion that 108 sounds quite high to be caused by ephedra/ephedrine alone. Seems odd that the bottle was thrown out. I think ephedra is taking the wrap for what might have been something else. Remember that all McGuire admitted to using was andro.

the all time list of deaths atrributable to ephedrine is in the low 100s, while thousands die every year due to aspirin and nsaid type meds, just to put things in perspective.

a little more then 100 deaths and god knows how many ppl take it. I have been using it for 4 months, my dad just started using it, although its trim spa and he does not do a lot. I am 6 3 and was 240-245 pounds. However I was in good cardiovascular condition. I have low blood pressure and read extensively on it before even buying the product. I have seen nothing but great results from it. Right now I am 220 pounds, I have put on some lean mass from whey protein and creatine with heavy lifting. Everyone I talk to cant believe how much weight Ive lost. I dont reccomend the drug to people I just tell them what I know about it and not to take it if they have certain problems. One comparison I make to ppl is alcohol. Alcohol is a drug that kills many more people each year then ephedrine has ever killed, but yet it is not banned...

there is no need to take this stuff in the first place. . . .it is dangerous.
