what do you guys think of this training split for a 5x5 program im designing for myself

mon - legs
tue - chest & tris
wed - cardio
thu - back & forearms
fri - shoulders & bis
sat - cardio
sun - rest

Forearms are also one of the bodyparts that receive the most attention (Since they're visible). I like em cuz I wouldn't have a back without em ;)

I see no reason why it can't work. I must warn you though that with the cardio the 5x5 will be pretty stressful so watch yourself to make sure that you dont overtrain. Also, I don't know if this happens to me, but I do very bad on chest if I do squats the day before. Just takes to much out of me and I sure that my back is probably pretty warn out because of it too. If you can do though, then go for it.

Looks fine.

FYI, I’m going to start 5x5 in a few weeks, this is what I have planned if you are interested, its fairly similar:

Mon – Legs
Tues – Chest
Wed – Rest
Thurs – Shoulder & Back (grip work after back)
Fri – Bies & Tris (superset when possible)
Sat – Rest
Sun – Rest

Small amount of Cardio after each session if Im not getting overtrained. Will do a longer swim session on Tues. I used to always train Chest & Tris, Back & Bies, so I wanted to put arms on their own for a while.

Good luck, when are you starting?

im starting monday june 2nd, ill upadte u guys with progress as it goes on, and ill be starting a 1-ad type cycle in a few weeks...
