old school training program: what i'm doing

hey lifters

i've started the basic old school training program that was bought to my attention by Frorider. i am doing the real one that was in the mag back in the 50s i think it was, not any of the variations posted. but, i am alternating squats one day, deads the next, and adding calves in there. i also cut it down to 3 work sets each exercise to keep it down to an hour. how the hell would they do so much??? five sets each is mad. crazy man. next week i am gonna switch to a different exercise for each body part. probably alternating db curls, push press, incline bench, pullups, probably just stick to squats, and then stiff leg deads. the following week i'll go back to the original exercises and then the week after that to the ones i just listed. so that's four weeks. i'll see where this takes me.

the workout is a lot different than i've been used to. i've been doing each body part once a week for the longest time (since last summer) and today was the second day. my chest and front delts were the only muscles that i couldn't lift nearly as much as the first day (for some reason, my chest and front delts get sore the easiest, compared to something like my back and bis which rarely get sore even when i blast em hard). i'll get used to it though then it should be all good. i think i'll make some good strength increases with this and hopefully some mass. by the end of the workout, i am more spent than i usually am also, more likely from it being a total body workout pretty much. i should be starting my first cycle soon too, which may overlap for a week or two with my old school training program. :D

have fun! peace.
