Deads increase biceps. Any of you guys training Bi's really hard and not doing Deads are missing out. Since doing Deads, my lifts in my Bi's haven't gone up much but my arms grew half an inch in 2 months. 19" arms at 19 years.

If you use an under-over grip, the supinated arm has the bicep placed under a tremendous load. If you alternate grips, it works well. Still, I don't like the spinal torque involved with a mixed grip. I'll stick to olympic style deadlifts. My biceps will grow from chinups, rows, and my general awesomeness.

I do 1-2 sets of curls a week. One set of standing barbell curls with 102 lbs (haaa) and on set on the machine preacher curls with about 50 pounds.

I do like to deadlift:) Did some crazy pulling on Sunday and my entire body is still feeling it!!!!

So what style of deads are recommended for a good bi w/o?

As I already said, a deadlift utilizing a mixed grip. If you do a clean grip, you won't have the bicep under a stretched load (needs to be supinated) and you won't get the benefit you're asking about.

I still advise against it, but whatever. I'd do as B does - a few sets of direct work weekly, rather than risk a painful bicep tear on deadlifts, not to mention spinal torque.

I don't think you even need to worry about mixed grip. the overall upper body stimulus, isometric tension etc, is alot of stress on your arms. plus in general people who deadlift tend to row or pullup quite a bit more. call it anecdotal, but big pullers tend to just lift heavier overall, more than beach muscle workouts.

Well we all get stretch marks someplace or another right?

My boy got his stretch marks on the stomach as he herniated himself while lifting 450+ without the belt...........he had to sit out month and a half to two months without lifting shit as he got operated on............

This could also be 'cause most serious lifters deadlift, and they're making the good progress. The "beach boys" don't know what the fuck they're doing and wind up pretty weak. Either that or they get big with juice and don't add much strength anyway.

Some douche bag today asked me if I was still training and said I should totally try some NO2 Xplode.

You all know how I am here. Just imagine how it went down with some moron for real. :)

your bi's are a stabilizing muscle for pulling

Yep. Supinated grip places it under a stretched load, though. The stretch is key.
