Once again, you're SO inspiring.

And right now...I am SSSSOOOO sore. My arms are so sore...LOL

It liked to killed me reaching over my head for a pack a cigerettes. And I don't even want to remember the 24 cases of Gatorade.

But it's worth it....

It's ME, again!!!

Been a while since I have actually posted something on my board so I thought I would post a message to let you know how I have been.

I couldn't be better. :)

I haven't fallen off the wagon, so to speak. I haven't lapsed back into old habits and I am still losing weight. I may have become to poster child for weight loss in my not so small neighborhood.

I am now at 280 pounds (what pecent of my body have I lost now, wyst? ;) ) I actually weigh less than my younger sister for the first time in our lives, by about 13 pounds. She isn't quite so happy about it but there is only one thing for her to do about it to change it...put the Ho-Ho down and step away from it.

I have been walking 45 minutes now, almost every day...and working out three days a week after the walks. I work out in my bedroom. I am not quite ready for the gym yet. Maybe one day...but not yet. Maybe when I drop another 50?? We'll see. Although 230 pounds is my goal weight I may go lower than that. Maybe like 180-190 pounds...I don't know. I really haven't decided I will have to wait and see what I look like after another 50 pounds. Although I still remember what Phem said to me once....I would be through changing my body when I was dead. :D

Alot of people who come in the store where I work at have watched my "transformation". I was waiting on one customer the other day and she said that she has a friend at work that has been trying to lose weight and has lost some but gets discouraged because the lack of results and she said that she has told her about me and what I have done and then told me that people were "rooting for me" and I didn't even know it. I went from wearing a polo shirt and an apron at work to wearing a smock (I did this because the boss was on our butts about the dress code where you have to have your shirt tucked in and I am sorry but I don't tuck in my shirts). And the first day I wore my smock, my future mother in law, who was working that day, said that alot of people (customers and employees) made comments on how much weight I have lost. I heard her once say that I had lost 80 pounds. And Lord knows at work the ladies there watch everything that I eat...get a bag of vinegar and salt chips and Deb looked at me and told me I better walk an extra 20 minutes. While at a manager's meeting the assistant manager looked at me because I had a Cadberry Egg and asked me what I thought I was eating. I keep telling them that I can't deprive myself of those "forbidden things" all the time or I will find myself in a weak moment where I will go on a binge from hell. My boyfriend and I did have words over the pint of Ben and Jerry's Southern Pecan Pie ice cream...but he won and I put it back in the cooler.

I have emailed my pic to people I haven't seen in over two years and they are so thrilled for me...

I still can't seem to get rid of that lower part of my stomach. What can I do short of surgery once I get the weight lost? Is there anything that I can do?

I'm a little late to the party, and it sounds like it has been one hell of a party - congratulations!!!!! You are now on the downhill slide!!!!!
I have lost 60#? of fat so far - don't know exactly as when the scale got so high I couldn't bear to step on it so I don't know what my max weight was.

The lower ab thing.... well, it has been my experience that is the last thing to go, seems like the ab fat that is left just keeps dropping lower and lower. I will tell you that water and lotion will be your friend to help with the loose skin problem and as time goes on it will tighten up, you may at some point even consider surgery. Right now I am giving serious thought to buying myself some boobs and getting rid of the loose skin on my belly, but even if I don't it looks 1000x better than it did.
Did you keep any of the clothes that you wore when you started? I have kept one pair of underwear, every once in awhile I put them on and watch them fall to my ankles just to remind myself of how far I have come and that I can and will make it the rest of the way.

Once again - great job!!!!

Always an inspiration. THat bottom of the tummy is damn stubborn. I think that's just the way we're built as women. Keep working at it-- you've made unbelievable progress!!!

wow, this is the first time I've seen this thread - I dunno how I missed it! Red, you are a true inspiration - your successes just go to show what single minded determination, focus and perserverence can do :) I think you should actually print out all the posts you've written in this thread and keep them to look over and remind you of your accomplishments for those times when you're feeling demotivated or stressed out.
Re: your boyfriend - I imagine he's probably overwhelmed by your weightloss in many ways and maybe that's why he's been behaving less than supportive at times? Change - even when it's positive change - tends to throw a relationship out of its equilibrium and it takes a bit of adjusting on both sides to accommodate it. I'm sure he'll get used to it though - if he doesn't you go whup his ass ;)
Take care and keep us updated - I'm looking fwd to reading more :)

Whew!!! For a moment a few weeks ago I thought I had been gaining again. I was out walking and I noticed that the roll was hanging kinda lower and I jumped on the scale and it said that things were ok. I never thought about it drooping.

But I DON'T WANT IT TO DROOP LOWER, I WANT IT TO GO AWAY...WWHHHaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, better now. Tension breaker had to be done...

My boyfriend and I were walking in the mall and passed some bathing suits and he told me that next year I would be in one of them. I told him NOT! Even if I did lose the weight I had a scar from surgery across my stomach (16 staples...four clamps...and they stopped counting the stitches). But he still insisted...

You would not believe all of the support that you guys on this site have given me when people around me have not...hats off to you guys

What kind of lotion did you use and did you just rub it on?

Today I reached goal number two. That was to reach 275 pounds. My mom keeps asking me when I am going to come down to Florida for a visit. I told her today that when I reached my weight goal or lower I would be down. And when I go down there I am going to throw a party and invite everyone who knew me especially that ex-boyfriend who broke my heart. It's going to be one of those...Look at me now things. And I can't wait until I am beside that best friend of mine who once said "I like it when you are standing next to me because it makes me look skinnier." Because I will be the one who looks good. I was always told that I was prettier than her it's just that I was overweight and that if I lost the weight I would be a knock out.

No, I'm not bitter or hostile. :)

Hope all is well with everyonee...

Well, sweetie, that all depends on where you live. Where I'm from you go down to the vet supply store and buy a big jar of bag balm - its what they rub on cow's teets when they get sore from the calf sucking them or from milking. Best stuff in the world!!!! If you can't get that plain old lubriderm will work great - just do it after a hot shower and be generous.
Congratulations on meeting your goal -
I still have this skinny little NOT friend that I use for motivation when it gets tough. LOL
