Just because that dude is from germany does not make him a nazi, does anyone else realize this? stop fucking blaming wwII on him! The point of this post is not trying to show how fucked up some countries were 50 years ago, its determining how fucked up the US is NOW.

i used to be very patriotic, served in the army. Now, im just trying to pay my rent because of all the fees the government has handed me. ive decided that its all a game and they expect you to play by the same rules, that being the case i am getting on foodstamp and welfare (not to mention federal aid for school)

World War 2 is almost 60 years ago and I hate the fucking Nazis more than any of you. We´re living in the 21th century, why the hell do some of you keep talking about shit that happened in the past? You killed most of the Native Americans for gold and land, but that´s long ago. Germans aren´t evil people, it was an evil time.

I never said anything about germans being perfect people, the only ones talking about THE BEST COUNTRY are some of you. Germans aren´t any better than americans (we make better cars, that´s a fact, lol) nor than any other people.

Yes, america helped us to rebuilt our country, I´m grateful for that. But did america do this because of altruism, because of your friendlyness? NO NO NO!!!
Germany was rebuilt as a buffer to fight the communists, that´s all.

Now you´re trying to take over the world, but you´ll fall, just like rome did long ago. Stop sending troops, start sending money to make the world better. Your country spends 300 Billion Dollars yearly on its military. That money could make the entire world a better place.

But George Bush and his fucking falcons aren´t gonna help, they´re going to destroy and spread hatred against America. If america keeps going on like this, the World Trade centre was only the beginning, you have to realize this.

I guess I'll chime in as well. America today is with out a doubt fucked up in it's moral standards, ethics and ability to accept responsibility for our decisions. Now think about this for a second, look at the big tobacco settelments. Were these fkin people strapped to a chair and locked in a room filled with tobacco smoke? No, they chose to smoke, and now that they are sick they get paid a monetary settelment for their choice??!! Look at Columbine H.S. and all the other teenage crimes, I believe they stem from the inability of parents to be responsible parents and raise their children to have respect for others and themselves. An example of this is the child of a couple I know who when we went camping made my daughter cry every 5 minutes and showed disobedient behavior every 5 min. The the mother says," I hope the teachers can straighten her out when she goes to school this year" What kinda shit is that??? Finally my generation needs to step up to the plate and remove all these babyboomer fucks from the what about me generation who have totally fucked up our country and replace them with people of strong moral character and responsibility, unlike Gary Condit, Bill "we stole over $100,000 of items when we left the White House" Clinton, and I could go on and on. But, my generation isn't interested enough yet in the state of our country...IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!! Looks like I have started a nice little discussion here.

First of all: I don´t dislike america and I´m far from hatred against americans. I have been living in Arizona for over a year and liked both the friendly people and the beautiful country.

But: I´ve never met so many ignorant people like I did in the US, that´s a fact, and I´ve been in many countries. Stupid kids actually asked me if we got cars in Germany and stuff like that. I encountered so much racism against mexicans it made me sick. The American media is self indulgent, most americans don´t know shit about the rest of the world, the foreign section of the Tucson newspaper was like one page. Your educational system is a big joke, with the exception of a few very expensive elite universities, your welfare and health care system is deeply antisocial, your judicious system is a matter of money ( OJ Simpson being a perfect example).

America is without a doubt the most powerful country in the world, but your people and your government lack a feeling for other countries mentalities, you´re stepping on to many toes, you humiliate vast parts of the arabian world and that´s gonna come back on you. Instead of bombing you americans should start to think about the REASONS for terrorism (envy being a ridicoulous one).

I lived in Germany for two years in the Army, so I know where you come from. But don't give me shit about predjudice and racism in America--look at your guys's problem with Turks! You guys hate them, and they hate you! We don't have any issues like that here. And I won't blame WWII on you, as I've known many Germans and know they hate nazis more than most Americans do, but your country has its own fucked up socialist laws and labor problems, and the "no sex in the army" rule is a good example of this.
My point here bro is that I love this country and the things that can be done with it, but that doesn't mean I love the gov't or even the majority of the people in it. I don't buy the "love it or leave it" attitude, I think the motto should be "love it or change it". So next time if you wanna knock America, pick something specific, don't just say that America itself is fucked up. That's just like us saying America is the best country in the world.....right?

we learn from mistakes made in the past. one of the biggest mistakes this country has made was not jumpping on germany from the get go. think of all the lives that would have been saved? ? not only american lives, but german, english, russian, jewish, and one could argure things would not be as they are in the middle east had hitler's role in history been more limited. but that's another debate.

germany would have been crushed had the US declared war sooner. it wouldn't have been as desisive, but in the end, we would have prevailed as we always do.
yes it was in our interest to rebuild europe and it is STILL in our interest to keep the worlds economy dependent upon ours. that my friend is where the US power truley lies.

Just playing devils advocate on this one, but I think what was done to the native americans was on par with what hitler did to the jews, it was just gone about differently and over a longer period of time. Entire species of animals, ie the buffalo, were pushed to extinction as a means of wiping out the natives food source.
That being said, I really dont see the relevance of dragging stuff from that far in the past into this issue

Bro, I agree that the US "should" have gotten into the war ASAP, but you'll recall at the time that most Americans believed in an isolationist policy that excluded helping foreign countries with "their" wars. Few people at the time expected the war to go as far as it did, and even if we had jumped in right away the US military was not at all built up enough, and it actually took several years for this to happen, so it really wasn't even an option at the time.
Also, I don't think it's a forgone conclusion we would have crushed Germany. The only reason we had any success at all was that we deceived the nazis into thinking the D-Day invasion was going to happen somewhere else, not to mention several fortunate developments such as the cracking of the enigma code, sonar, etc. It was a close enough war as it is.
And I'm not saying we should forget WWII or it's lessons, I'm saying that you can't hold someone responsible who probably wasn't alive at the time. That's like having a black person hold me responsible for slavery, and I HATE it when I hear that stuff, so I know how Germans feel when you blame them for the nazis. Your average 20 year old German is a way bigger hippie than your average 20 year old American.
