OK GUYS it's time to come out and say it.

What arms I have are all triceps. I especially like walking out thru the mall parking lot carrying a heavy bag in each hand and catch a glimpse in a curved, tinted car window. They work like a funhouse mirror, makes me look like I imagine myself to look like.

And Arioch, I do hope you get a ton of mileage out of that one. One of my son's friends admitted to having seen Sleepless in Seattle, and I heard another one's mom refer to him as Ther Bear (name is Theron) they will never hear the end of it.

you know if powerlifters would pay attention to their *goddamn* diets, they would look a lot better and we would not constantly have to defend ourselves to pussy-ass bodybuilding types.

there are only a rare few who can be competitively strong at the national level and look ripped. (I am not one of these :) ), but we can at least look physically fit.

Also, regarding cardio:

people who claim powerlifting is not cardio, try a *real* westside workout.

speed weight at 45 - 60 secs rest between sets.
all assistance exercises at 1 - 2 minutes period.

i personally do NOT sit idle in my gym, EVER. I am either loading weights, yelling and screaming at my partners, or lifting.

And yes.... i *love* to look in the mirror. It's not because I think I have a beautiful physique. It's because I am fascinated by a person being able to change the appearance of their bodies. I am simply amazed at how much my ass has grown since doing wide stance box squats.

arioch- that was mean... i have small arms. i a m embarassed.

Irish- when i compete onn the national level, i WILL have my six pack... i'll be at most 10-12%bf.. im aways skinny.
 
Deciever, I was skinnier than you at your age. You have seen pics of me recently taken. Not skinny anymore. I hope you can lift at 220 or 242 someday with a 6 pack. Some can, but you may have to grossly overeat like I did to get the size you are looking for.

Strength is worth losing the six pack.

Think of it like this, how much fun can you really have with a 6 pack of beer? If your me then not much. Get a fucking case or a keg, fucking six packs are worthless.
 
Hey everyone does it. I mostly hit Lat shots though. And legs. I never flex arms though. I see them all the time.

Hell i think i am the only one here who shaves and tans like a bodybuilder!! Its the way me and my wife bond, we go tan togteher!! You can see my abs. Theres nothign wrong with cardio, or flexing. You spend alot of time in the gym and are looking forward to gains.

We actually have a big mirror in our room and i actually catch myself looking and seeing how i look relaxed or with a certain shirt on. IN every day walkin around. I wanna look like a beast when i just walk!!
 
update: while flexing in the mirror today, i could see slight seperation in my quads between 2 or 3 of the muscles.

The convex windows in cars are optimal for that.. ever get the impression you were HUGE after watching yourself walk by in a car window.. this is why..
 
Guys thanks for all the replys it's good to know that ALL of you out there do it too. Well Irish I think u have a great point on the diet part, honestly let me ask u i've seen some pics of you and YOUR BIG do u find that eating clean all the time and doing some cardio has affected your strength?

To any of you out there that do it too has it affected your strength?
