Oatmeal

Not an AS question, but I think we know where the smart guys hang out. Question is, if you wanted to eat oatmeal raw without cooking it (JUST SWALLOING OATS and water) would that be ok. I drive a lot for my job, so it is hard to always heat em up.

This is one of the oldest methods that pro's use before their shows to soak up whats left on the water in them before staging. Im not sure why you would want to do, but hey, if you're looking for the dry look, then go for it.
 
When I competed, I used to put applesauce and a banana and mixed it all up, if it was still too dry, add more applesauce, taste great.
 
Without getting into detail, approx 10-15min before I go on stage for prejudging, I eat 2 hershey bars. I swear by the increased vascularity.
 
I eat it dry sometimes, but as said b4 gotta wash down every bite with a drink.. sometimes i envey the fact fu** in the car next to me chomping down mcgriddles :worried:

i know guys who eat sweets like cookies donuts candy right before going on stage also...the rush of sugars gives them much more vascularity.
 
How did this posting of oatmeal turn into things to eat before you go on stage to compete? lol, just to put my 2 bit's in, I would sip a little bit of wine, now there was some vascularity but guy's under 21 should not try that.
 
I mix it in my shakes...

1 to 1.5 cups of big oat flakes
500ml water
2 scoops of protein
1 cup of berries

Mix, drink...
 
i love oatmeal but i stopped putting it in my shakes..mainly cause it all lumps to the bottom anyways
i just throw some in some applesauce with cinnamon...works great if there is no time to cook it

The only time I suggest you do that is with a protein shake. Otherwise, cook it, it'll make you feel full - great for when you're cutting.

That's sounds good and I am usually eating on the run/little time. Cool idea :p
