the gray means its from somebody with less than 500 posts, green is for people with 500+ posts. the gray is just a nice way of saying that those people dont matter much yet. lol

back when this board was basically just the AS board and training didnt get much traffic (way back when...LOL) the number of posts generally meant, "this person has something valuable to say...hence knows his/her stuff." with the addition of the chat board, there were people on elite for 2 months that had more posts than vets on for 2 years. so that shot the knowledge theory out of the water.

Good point. Back in the day of E2, 2thick, Kodiak, BigJay, Ranger, and all the other old-timers, posts counts definately had more significance
