I think what we may be talking about in terms of muscularity might be circa 1988 women's bodybuilding, which I think is an absolutely outstanding idea.
I have a great deal of respect for women who succeed in packing on prodigious amounts of beef after years of blood, sweat, and tears. Having said that, professional and national level amateur WBB has evolved into something so extreme that it has very few fans and even fewer competitors. The Cory Everson era I think was the peak of WBB popularity in the mainstream for a very good reason. It was a level of muscularity to which even total non-lifters could often relate.
