Nothing working, time to quit or use drugs?

Rivaldo, one of the best in the world weighs 165 and hes a bit taller. And im not slow, i run a 4.5 40...So anyway, just chill out dude... any other ideas, what do other soccer players do? [/B][/QUOTE]

I don't think Rivaldo is a top ten player anymore....he can not even start for Milan!!

Rivaldo is half inch shorter than you and 13 pounds lighter. So you are pretty big for a soccer player. I mean I do not follow soccer too much, I mean I know it is 90 minutes. Hell he just seems damn skinny. I have a friend who is like 5'11 and around 160 come to think of it, he doesnt look that bad but could use some weight to show more muscle but he is not a soccer player. If you have 4 months you should choose though either Rivaldo or deep six pack abs.

Ok well either way...I just want a system to get into the best soccer shape, and best body fat composition to be light on my feet. I still have no idea how to approach this.

Poor mr. Denelson! it seems everyone is overlooking your first statement--He wants to get "Down" to 172, not put on weight!

I'm 5"9 and 180lbs now at 6% BF.

AAS+cardio+weights+supplements keeps me in top shape both strength and cardio wise.

At 180lbs I can push people around, yet I am faster than most of them. Again thanks to weights(Lunges).

I can also kick the ball harder and longer than almost everybody on my team...except for our goalie who is 6"6 240lbs ...lol

Miss T, I know people seemed to misinterpret my message:0)

Fonz, thanks for keeping up. Problem is, I'm pretty conservative when it comes to supplementation. I mean, I understand that I need some sort of extra help but I would never take AAS, or even ephedrine. Is there anything else I culd take that is safer, or am I asking for something that doesn't exist? All I want to do is lose like 8 lbs. but through dieting its almost impossible for me: my body seems determined to keep me around 180. Am I a lost cause?

I might be able to give better advice if I read the whole damn post, my bad. Your genetic set-point for body fat is probably very close to where you are now which means that it take strict attention to diet to lose 8 more pounds. The problem is that the farther past your set-point you get the more likely your body is to hoard fat and burn muscle instead (your bodies survival mechanism during times of famine). I think you need to eat more to get your metabolism stoked up again. You can definitely get leaner, but it will take effort. I believe that you said you are on a low carb diet, I wouldn't reccomend that considering your activity level. If I am wrong about you being on a low carb diet just ignore this. I think you would be better off to eat quality carbs all day long and taper off at night. Definitely eat carbs post-workout. This will indirectly help you get leaner. By maintaining more muscle mass you will have a higher BMR (basal metabolic rate) which basically means you will burn more calories all day long. Hope this helped, good luck bro!

Seems that you're in a very catabolic/starved mode.

Get yourself some Gplenish(Glutamine Peptides), a decent protein powder.....and mix the GPlenish at a 1:3 ratio with the protein powder(Serving wise).

Drink 3 of those a day.

That is the only thing I can think of that is natural. And for gods sake, STOP the CKD, you'll just feel like shit. You're an athlete.

In fact , buy some glucorrell-R and use it with the carbs you eat.

You can buy both the GPlenish and the Glucorrel-R at www.anabolicfitness.net, at the Af Store.

You're 180lbs. You should be eating 2500Kcal/day in order to lose weight steadily w/o feeling like crap. Try to get in about 250g carbs(1000Kcal). For every 100g carbs take in 500mg R-ALA, and you'll see how fast you lose the weight. After that its 180g protein(720Kcal), and 88g Fat(780Kcal).

In other words a Zone type diet.

I thought you didn't believe in glutamine?

SK, you've been on these boards for 2 years and you don't know the difference between free-form glutamine and bonded glutamine peptides?

Sheesh.

You need to read up more.
