Not getting pumped anymore

Hi all,

I have been going to the gym for about 6months. I am pleased with the gains I have had. Only problem I have is that I seem to no longer get pumped up.

Is this normal?

Is there anything i can do so i can get that pumped feeling back?

Thanks
:)

do you mean pumped as in psyched up to go work out or do you mean that you don't getting a pump in your muscles. If you're talking about getting psyched up to go work out try to bring some music that you really like working out to. You could also find a partner whose really into working out. If you're talking about not getting a pump in you muscles....your carb intake might not be high enough. I was on a really restricted diet a couple of months ago and I was only getting 110g of carbs a day. During that time I could not get a pump if my life depended on it. Then I bumped my carbs up to 250g per day and that made a world of difference.

i agree with that,it could be from a stale workout routine ,which would mean time for a change or if you are dieting and your carbs are too low you definately won't pump......:D

Make sure your form is correct. You might want to change up your workout a little. Shock your body and start getting that pump back.

My routine ususally stays pretty much the same and I always get an excellent pump... I think it has something to do a) with your intensity and b) with your diet. I would be sure to keep my carbs real high if your looking for an incredible pump maybe around 2-2.5g per pound of bodyweight.

Also try intensity techniques like drop sets to really pump up your muscles.. I also suggest trying to increase your reps so you feel the intended muscle working more..

For example reps around 4-6 arent as good for a pump in my opinion as reps with 10-12. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

:D:D

Well, the pump itself doesn't do crap for growth, it's just a matter of getting extra blood to engorge your muscle. Do more reps to get the pump, it's as simple as that. This may not be ideal for growth, but a lot of people don't seem to care about that.

I almost never get pumped, and I grow just fine.

usually a sign to take 10 days off. You will come back fired up and PUMPED!
