Hey eveyone! I am a vegetarian and am finding it hard to put together a good clean diet with enough of the right stuff. Any ideas out there?

Soy Protein shakes, tofu, tons of beans..all kinds of beans and broccolli...

Are eggs/milk/cheese available to you?

yeah i'll eat the eggs/milk/cheese. chicken i can tolerate. pork and beef are out. more for ethical reasons than anything else.

Ok this is my opinion, I dont know your dedication level, so Ill figure youll eat 4-5 times a day, plus you didnt mention how many calories you need so ill assume 3k.

Make sure to incorporate a morning protein shake with about 40g of protein, then supplement your diet all day with: whole wheat bread, eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, beans, broccolli, green beans, oatmeal, tofu, bananas (for pwo), yams, and cottage cheese.

Between all the listed above you can eat like you are at a restaurant, and have enough variety to not get too bored. I find Mrs. Dash, Garlic Pepper, and Frank's Red hot help the food go down better. If you balance it out right you have tons and tons of complex carbs and good quality protein..if you cant do chicken make sure to eat more tofu and Beans..people always underestimate the power of beans..yeah the gas sucks..but those things are fucking LOADED with fiber, complex carbs and protein...the best of the best imho...theres always beano..dont know if this helps..but throw me some K if it does =)

Jon69 or something had a post about Morningstar Blackbean Burgers. i got some and they were damn good. try em.

Ion-exchanged, microfiltrated, whey protein.

I am thinking of turning Vegetarian, purely for the health benefits and not for the ethical reasons.

I think I shall still eat non-fatty fish however, if/when I get the chance.

Give me an idea of whats in your diet please...?

Fish is ok for me to eat. I have been taking in about 1500 cals a day but will be lifting for gains soon and will up it to around 2500 (I am female in case it wasn't noticed). I have 5-6 meals a day. Protein shakes, veggies, fruits, fish. Also yogart and cottage cheese (but I feel pretty guilty about it).
