New Video - 470 lb deadlift at 156 lb bw. No belt. No straps. 3.01 x bw.

Good stuff-question, You posted a real similar video like a week ago? what was the difference? I assume form. Was it the ratio too? Off top of my head the other lift was 470 and your bodyweight was like 2lbs heavier.

PS you look good no homo but more chest thickness and a little more shoulder width would take you to a different level (aside from more size overall)

thanks. I dunno if I really changed my technique that much but I hope I made some improvements to it.

In the last vid your lower back rounded slightly. In this one your upper back rounded while the lower back stayed straight. That is how some of the best pullers in the world dl. Look up Konstantin konstanovis, thats how he pulled 900+ without a belt. And you kept your body behind the bar better. This keeps the bar path in a straight line. keep working on technique, and do the rack pulls below the knee for overload work. And dont be afraid to do some speed pulls once in a while to increase explosiveness. Stay focused and you will break that 500 barrier soon.

i agree about KK.. :artist: and i let my upper round like that just a bit too...
i needed you a month ago when some fools on here were saying my form sucked and my lift 'didnt count' because of that...

well..theres a difference between rounding your upper back some and looking like a god dammed camel

I dont powerlift but I always go and encourage neutral lordosis for anything that may damage your spine
and given that I have heniated discs in my c,t and l spine with a shit ton of very bad osteophytes throughout my spine (thats bone spurs/arthritis so you dont have to google)..from lifting bariatric patients for 12 yrs ...I'm a borderline bitch about it

As long as the lowerback stays arched or straight your fine. If that lowerback rounds youll be in some trouble. like I said look up Konstantin on YouTube, the guy pulled like 950 with his upperback rounded. And he did this with no belt. There are only a few people in the world to ever pull over 950. Keep in mind he is a genetic freak and hes spent decades developing his technique. Find the best and safest technique for your leverages. I myself pulled conventional all the way to 635 lbs, then I couldnt go past that. My leverages had changed as I got bigger and I switched to sumo, and in the last year my pull went up over 700+. So find what works best for you. Let the haters hate, and when you hit a PR on the platform just laugh in their faces.
