New T3 Trailer

Warik said:
I think the movie will disappoint us.

Here are the reasons why:

1) Huge plot holes. T2 was supposed to end it all. Wtf is up with a new Terminator?

2) The main villain is a woman. What does this mean? T&A. What does that mean? Distraction from the storyline. There's no coincidence that T2's main villain was an average looking white guy and the movie was great.

I hope I'm wrong, but movie history has shown my fears to often be accurate.

I agree. This movie may be decent entertainment with some neat effects, but it will pale in comparison to the first two.

Actually, I think 2 was better than one. Worst case scenario, it is only worse than 2. But they had 10 years to come up with a story. It's a very hard task to do for this movie...How much more advanced can you make the new terminator?????What else can you do that hasnt been done? I think there will be some sub plots in there and added stories. We will find out what happened to Sara Connor etc etc. Apparently she never gave up her work after T2 and always was prepared for the next visit. She took alot of secrets with her to the grave. From what I read they tried to tie everything in together with the previous two movies as much as possible.

T1 was a new idea. They didnt know if it would make any money. It did and they made T2. I guess sometime during post production they realized that this was a very good movie and why destroy any chance of making a sequel by showing everything ok 20 years later-which is why they picked the ending they did with the movie, and threw in some left over pieces to keep the story going if need be. Don't forget this is a new director as well. People may think the movie will suck because of this, but I bet this guy probably tried even harder because now he not only had to continue with a good movie, but he had to proove himself with this project as well. He will also add some of his own ideas rather than have Cameron direct it where it would probably follow similiar lines like the previous 2. We'll see. From what I hear the budget is pretty large, most movies made with such larges amounts of cash are usually blockbusters.

Here's why it will suck:

1. First & foremost: Arnold is a has been. He vowed that T2 was the last one when it first came out in '92, yet now he is back in the saddle. I doubt he was persuaded by the money, as he doesn't need it, moreso by the fact that the guy hasn't had a decent movie in years. He is out of touch with his audience. Personally, I admire the man for all he has accomplished. I'll never accomplish a 1/10th of what he has in my lifetime, but that isn't going to make me believe that he can bust through walls, or smash through a ceiling and into the floor above him, even though his character is mortal(not a Terminator). His acting is tired, and the one liners were stale 10 years ago.

2. James Cameron isn't on board. Why? Because he though the storyline was lame and wanted no parts of it. I also believe that he is sticking to the "T2 was the final installment" angle as well, as was stated in '92. Then again, he had "Titanic" since then, or he might feel differently. I equate his views on not wanting any part of T3, to Jodie Foster not wanting anything to do with "Hannibal". She though it was weak, and it was. Don't underestimate the loss of Cameron here. He jumped ship after Alien 2(aliens), and you see where that series went. 3 sucked, and 4 was so/so at best.

3. I heard, but am not sure, that the third installment is going to be rated(or they are pushing for it to be rated) PG-13. If that's the case, you can bet your bottom dollar that the "edge" will be long gone. That stroyline is all about violence(the end of the world, and Nuclear War usually is), and to try to dumb it down for the sake of being PC, or attracting a bubblegum audience is going to hurt the storyline BIGTIME. Still, I'll go see it I'm sure.

All that said, I thought the trailer looked really good. I really like the idea of the Woman Terminator. Warik, I think the plot will be that potential "targets", are less likely to suspect the woman being the terminator, and thus the reason why the T-X was designed as such. Just a guess.

Dude, it's a new Terminator movie. It's going to be a blockbuster even if it was directed by Massive Gunz and had Roseanne Barr as Sarah Connor and Tom Hanks as Terminator.

I have been waiting for this movie forever and after seeing this trailer I'm pretty disappointed.

The trailer was just so overdone it made me want to kick my monitor. That stupid guy's voice doing the narration, those lame one liners, and that shitty glaring evil turnaround that the chick does with the sparkling eye...

PUKE! Gag me. Seriously.

Then to top it off, the chick terminator has to act all Robert Patrick with that constant stone face (tilted slightly downward). That was Patrick's thing, why they're having her do it again is lame. Howabout some variety. I don't want another friggin Robert Patrick wannabe giving the world the evil eye it's entire existance.

Poo.

The chick thing kind of worries me...when in doubt of the storyline, throw in some hot poonanie ..

i knew it was going to be stupid, although the preview surprised me, it's even stupider than i imagined.

what's with the chick terminator? *girls can do anything guys can, blah blah blah, i want to be a terminator, T-x i will be called, the terminator with titties* wtf? why a girl? wasn't that last bad guy in t-2 girly enough? i can see it now, T-4 the transvestite terminator

Who knows what happens. All you guys saw was bits and pieces. Give the thing a chance before you all start ripping on it. Like I said before, by the end of the movie it looks like she transforms into something closer to a Predator during the last moments of the film. There is also a lot of action-much more than what we saw that goes on throughout it. And the movie will make money. I know alot of people here doubt its quality...but we all know we're all going to see it once it comes to the big screen. And the one liners by Arnold are expected...John Connor...It is time. Im sure the "she'll be back" was added in there for some comic relief of some sort.

On another note...whats that music they play when the crane goes through the building..I like it.
