and i erroneously believed the finer things were reserved for those

that have worked a little harder and a little smarter than the average

bear. i thought it was my hard earned money and that i could spend

it how i wanted to. maybe i could even do this without being judged.

but with capitalism comes class warfare

and strangely enough, its always the proletariats kickin up the fuss

i think clothing is important and basic. kind of a self respect thing and part of your personality.

It ain't like all that LB. I got nuthin but love for you. Don't be upset. You made $400K last year and bought $400 jeans. I made $200K last year, but I didn't buy a $200 pair of jeans. I did buy 2 pairs of jeans and spent a total of maybe $45 though. I bought them from the clearance rack and used my niece's discount!

Of course, I don't wear jeans much here in SD. 9 times out of ten, I'm in shorts and a t-shirt. It's just a different mindset. You spent $100K on your wardrobe, which is 1/4 of your income. I have no idea how much I spent on my wardrobe, but it was nowhere near $50K (1/4 of my income). I did sock away almost $50K in various investments though!

We bought an SUV in Oct. 2006. We didn't buy the Porsche (though it was very nice). We did buy the Acura MDX and spent at least $20K less, and I'm just as happy if not happier.

I don't need a rollie, tag...or even a timex. I hate wearing watches or any jewelry for that matter. I got my cell phone with me all the time...it has a clock that is always accurate...why buy one more item to tell me what time it is? Hell, I can't make a phone call or listen to music on a rollie!!!!!!

You're right though. About the finer things. Funny though...how many $60,000/yr earners are buying $200-$400 jeans. I dated a girl like that. Those jeans sure looked good on her too. She managed her money well...too bad she just never had any leftover. Spent every dime.
