Neighbor wars

inotek makes a good bark collar..and goes down small enuff for the little guys..it starts off very mild and its top level is probably about like, putting your tongue on a 9 volt..unpleasant but not particularly rough
I've only ever resorted to bark collars on two dogs and they both cut the shit in about a week...it goes fast if you can reinforce it with a calm "quiet" with the bark collar on

and look into french prong collars...I know they look like torture devices but a trainer sold me on them years ago when he put a choke collar on my thigh and popped it like a correction...I had the biggest purple bruise in the history of the world....
a well fitted prong is just even pressure, no where near the concentrated agony a choker causes...try it on your own skin...
you'll have far better control with a prong

I thought of bark collars, just dont know which to use, also my frenchie is really strong, she uses a choke collar and not even that stops her :worried: I agree I think they just dont care

Yeah big breeds are sad like that my dane already survived bloat

Aw man. Bloat scared me, but we never had that problem. We were lucky. Poor puppy.

Lol once I was walking my dog around the lake and I had this clip-on treat bag on my hip pocket (we were doing training) I felt something and looked at my hip and this huge black Dane was getting into my treats, lol.

that's the one she is wearing, she got better but when she gets bad her legs can be in the air with that collar and she wont stop! she;s a bad egg :(

wow...with a prong? fitted right below her jaw?
thats crazy!

No patience either for bad dog owners. My two dogs are on prongs when they leave the house and are under control at all times. I love the prong collars, especially for our 70 lb. shepherd who had never been walked on a leash before we got him. We also invested in proper dog training, which isn't that expensive.

I've told off more dog owners than I can count and actually corrected their dogs for them. The dogs don't know any better - just like children unfortunately. A bad parent is a bad parent.

yeah, the prongs are great for really large or spastic dogs...a tiny one even made my jack a very good little princess.

a bomb dog handler turned me onto them like 10 years ago with the before mentioned example
e-collars are my goto choice for schutzhund and tracking training...anything with a very big off leash area

little dogs that are incredibly poorly behaved piss me off the worst. I think people think "they can't do any real harm so whats the big deal" but they can and will and they can incite a larger dog into being a lunatic.

unrelated but, staffordshire terriers are incredibly popular around here because of rescue groups ...I haven't met an unfriendly one yet but I have no idea how these people afford or even find homeowners insurance with that breed.
