Here is the deal with yahoo groups - if you have a yahoo ID, you can go to the group to sign up. Once you sign up & are logged into Yahoo groups, you can access the web site, archives, files, post messages, etc. You just need a Yahoo ID.

You CAN get on without a Yahoo ID if I send you an invite (I'm the moderator) - can post & recieve messages, but you can't access the site, archives, & files that way. Easier just to get a Yahoo ID.

I know exactly how you feel - it's hard having to choose. Friends, or bodybuilding? Or try to come up with some sort of middle ground. I think sassy's got that down pat - she's the queen of figuring out how to cope with outings, restaurants, etc so that everyone can be happy. For me, I hate compromise, and am a very all or nothing type of person. So I chose bodybuilding. But my circumstances are somewhat unusual, and I will be leaving here to go home next year, where I expect I will make a whole new crowd of friends, and will make sure they have the same values, interests, etc, that I do. Also, I will not be on a competition diet after November, so that's likely to make my life much easier.

Basically, dieting/eating clean whatever, is HARD. Having a specific date or goal to work towards makes it much easier.

Or simply relaxing one night for one meal a week makes it more sane.

Then there's the other suggestion someone gave me a while ago on just such a thread as this - invite your friends to do OTHER stuff, instead of going out drinking. Go for a hike. Go play putt-putt (mini-golf). Go roller-blading, cycling, go to the park and play frisbee :) I mean, why the hell NOT??? Only one life, you know ... :)

BTW, circusgirl - keep it up, hon - you're gonna be just fine - it's tough, but hang in there :)
