Sure, your triceps have grown from using POF, i bet they would have grown the same amount, or even more if you just applied basic progressive overload on the basic tricep exercises.
Something to keep in mind is that biochemical individulaity is the ultimate determinant when it comes to set, rep and exercise schemes among the other variables that go hand in hand with training.
There is no one size fits all approach.
