Need daily calorie intake HELP PLEASE!

New Plan :)

Fire nutritionist & Hire personal trainer (that LOOKS the part... preferably has competed in bodybuilding or fitness comps)

Your classes with pink weights don't cut it

Wow Iammotivated! Great job on the weight loss!

I remember when you posted on here having lost 142 pounds. That wasn't too long ago was it. February I believe?

So now you lost an additional 40 pounds since then in the last 5 months. That's fantastic! (*said in an Arnold voice*) Strange that your nutritionist would bump your calories that high when you're not really training with weights and had such great results with your original diet. Maybe go back to your original diet and throw in more fibrous carbs throughout the day to control your hunger.

I'd do as suggested and immediately adapt a bodybuilding workout into your exercise routine and cut the aerobics in half. You'll notice a huge difference in how you look and have a more shapely appearance.

Maybe start a daily log in the womens forum as well. Best ladies in the world over there who can help you out better than any nutritionist around.

I actually get too much fiber. You are not suppose to have more than 50 grams or it pulls all the good things out as well as the bad. I am having a hard time keeping fiber to only 50 grams a day due to my veggie consumption :D

In my opinion, every body reacts differently to different types of diets. However you lost the 142 pounds and the additional 45 pounds in the last 5 months WAS the correct diet for you to be on. It worked for you and that's all that matters. I wouldn't change a thing based on what's supposedly right or wrong according to nutrition experts. No one knows how you react to a certain way of eating better than yourself.

Throw some weights in there and keep it up and you'll see even more dramatic results.

And good job on the fiber. :) I have hard time getting my daily amount in everyday. :)

I have seen her the whole time i have lost this weight, we have changed it from time to time. she upped my calories because i was so hungry and waking up in the middle of the night starving. She gave me that many also because i was burning like 1200 calories a day just in the exercise. My deficit was too much i think. It was just not liviable to be that hungry.

Listening to your body is, sometimes, the most important thing of all.

I'm glad you told her you were hungry and she upped the cals.

I'm so proud that you lost all this weight. Not many people will ever do what you did. And its great that she upped the calories too. Lifestyle change and not dieting to the point where you are waking up starving will be your ultimate long term solution to any weight issues that you may have. Best of luck in all your fitness goals. Always here to help.

Seems like you might need more protein also. I found cutting the carbs down to just veggies in the evening, and replacing them with more protein helped me a bunch (I workout in the mornings, so dont need the energy from carbs after dinner) Also, protein is a good filler and helps with the hunger.

And I agree, I would place weights ahead of cardio. Cardio is of course important. But when you are dieting you are fighting catabolism, and weight training helps that fight. Plus, lean mass = higher basil metabolic rate=more weight loss. + weight lifting also burns more cals during the healing process on top of what you burned during the excercise, where as cardio doesnt so much.

Totally agree..

With the amount of cardio you are doing (and assuming you were on a really restricted diet) you probably burned off a shitload of muscle mass. Focus on the weights now and get in shape. Your weight loss achievements are phenomenal and it is only a matter of time until your skin tightens up around some muscle that you pack on. Your nutritionist is probably wise for upping your caloric intake to where it is due to level of exercise, IMO.

Great job on the weight loss..come over to the womens forum and join us. I promise not everyone is hardcore over there!!!
