Hello Ladies,

It has been a while since I posted, but I have been reading a lot. I have just started going back to the gym. I had breast augmentation in July. I went under the muscle, 425c.c, saline.. Well needless to say, my right breast has never completely dropped correctly. When I flex, there is a terrible mark where the implant has scar tissue around it. It is really hard to explain. I went back to the Dr the other day, to ask him what could be done about this... I want to go to 600cc, silicone, and I think I want to go over the mucsle. The Doctor said if I wanted to go under the muscle again that he could scrape away some of the scar tissue and a little more to compensate for the larger implants. That would be scraping away some of the pec muscle, or at least that is the way I understood him. What my concern/questions is I was a 34c naturally-- so i had breast tissue... I am just curious if any of you ladies that have over the muscle implants have had any problems, at all... because I cannot afford to have another surgery and there still be problems.... Please any experience will be very much appreciated.... I think that for working out purposes, over the muscle is better, right? I jsut need some input. Sometimes I think my doctor might have goofed in some way, but he would never admit it. I am going to get a second opinion... I live in the panhandle of florida, if anyone knows any good surgeons...
Thanks!!!!!

I had over the muscle and I have won powerlifting bench meets afterwards. I would definetly go over the muscle if you plan on working out hard. just my opionion :)

I have unders, and suprisingly on my first chest work out after the surgery (I waited about 10 weeks) I was stronger than before  .... I was expecting to lose strength and was also expecting it to kinda hurt but it didn't

I work in the OR as a nurse and I can say that either way is just fine...we have had this discussion in the OR several times.

BUT......HOLY COW SISTA 600cc is a big implant. I don't want to sound like a know it all male BUT I would seriously think about that one as they may not look that good on you, depending on your size of course.
If you ever have to get them removed ,and believe me not a few have to come out, you are going to have the National Geographic African tribe look if you know what I mean.

RG:)

Brick, are you serious? You could still bench just as much?

If someone could write me a guarantee that if I went over the muscle I wouldn't have bag lines and could still bench, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Geez...you too? Seems like more "over" people have this luck than "under" people. At least on board polls.

This is not what I want to read right now. I'm going to the doc. for my initial consult later this morning at 11. I actually need a lift plus implants. I'm going to another doctor on Feb. 10th. The first doctor was recommended to me by my GYN based on him seeing work done by this doctor recently. The second doctor removed leaking silicone implants from a friend of mine and just did unders on her friend a week ago. I'm looking at surgery early March. I had decided on unders but hearing stuff like this really scares me. :(

I was nervous enough before and couldn't sleep...forget about it now. Arghhhh!

I can't even think of any questions to ask the doctor. Hubby's going with me and I figured we'd just listen to what this doc. has to say since it's the initial consult. Is there anyting in particular that I should be questioning???

Have you talked to kronkette? She had some great advice that she posted here one time, in terms of what to look for in a doc, what to ask, what they should be asking YOU, etc...

I did alot of research and a couple of things I would ask Is if he/she overfills the implant. In my research I have learned overfills help prevent the implant from folding. Also what type/brand of implant, shape(round or contour), and the method of placement and incision. Find a doctor that performs this method on the majority of his patients.

Spatts, I don't lift near as much as you but I had no trouble getting back to where I was in either incline or flat bench. My doc does have one lady that he did surgery for that competes in PL
(he didn't give any names) but she went with "unders" and he said she has never had a problem.
The reason why I went with unders is "not to see the bag lines".

Good luck !
