Need a New Protein Powder

Sassy69 said:
Stallone pudding -- the 2 things I had ready to go for my first post-show treats were:

- Power Butter -- flax seed oil-based "peanut butter"
- Stallone Pudding - chocolate & vanilla

The pudding was good - have to admit that so far nothing I've eaten since my show has tasted as good as I imagined it would except Mexican food. So I won't rave about it, but it was very good and satisfying, non-lactose (so I could eat it and not suffer the consequences), 20 g of protein & low fat / carb. Definitely an option if you are stuck. I'm actually finding even protein bars to be too sweet for me right now so I'm just stickign to my regular boring diet food and looking forward to another Mexican encounter this weekend.

I've also incorporated protein mix back into my diet so I'm doign at least one Beverly INt'l Muscle Provider shake in the morning (cuz i'm sleeping in so late this week...) and carry the makings for another later in the day. I'm still taking my Digestive Enzymes & Aminos to avoid any gas / bloat. Generally I'm sensitive to just about everything this week so I'm takign it real slow....

Sassy---what type of digestive enzymes do you take?? I already have a problem with dairy and bloating up ----but post show i have a massive piece of oh so yummy i'm drooling just thinking about it cheesecake. (3 1/2 more weeks, Linzie, 3 and a half more weeks--*slaps self* PULL YOURSELF TOGETHTER)
sorry---anyways...what can you suggest to take prior to help with the bloating/pain??

This Stallone pudding stuff....is it just for emergencies when you need a meal on the run or is it clean enough to incorporate into your weekly diet a few times a week? I am always looking for "transportable" meals that are easy to toss in my workbag and not worry about refrigerating.

On another protein powder note, I have been using PVL whey gourmet in chocolate mint flavor and it's actually pretty decent. I got it at A1nutrition.com. Supposedly there is a new flavor by PVL called Cookies n Creme which is apparently fab according to a few folks I've talked to but it doesn't seem to be available at US based online sites yet. I'm going to try ON Vanilla or Vanilla ice-cream next.

I would assume that you can incorporate it into your diet for when you want something sweet, or you want to treat yourself, but don't want to choke down a protein bar. Let me see if I can find the nutritional value for ya.

Sorry how sloppy it came out. I merely did a cut & paste.

I went to the Vitamin Shoppe yesterday to get something new -- I absolutely need something different -- the Isopure Zero Carb in Strawberry and Apple Melon are getting OLD. The sales guy talked me into the Nectar in Caribbean Cooler -- he said that everyone is loving all of the flavors. OMG it is the best protein drink I have ever tasted. So, I second your vote for it. My son loves it as well!

I would say Beverly Int.l is the best protein I've ever tasted, I used a few years ago, could eat it right out of the tub, Muscle provider Choc. & Vanilla, yummy :)

I agree. I've used Bevelry Int'l going on 8 years now. I love the Ultra Size Vanilla - so creamy and goes with everything.

They do make a multi-enzyme that I also take for digestion. It really does help digest some of those 'not so kind foods'. Their most underated supplement is the inexpensive 'Ultra 4' vitamin - loaded with good stuff and you only take 2 twice daily. Great products and even better people. Take care with that cheesecake.

I'm really amazed at how good it tastes too. My 2 year old loves it too, which is a bad thing, because I can't afford to supplement his little ass too. I save him 1/2 a shot full of mine. Lol.

Wow I'll have to try the caribbean flavor. I've been drinking ON Cookie's and Cream which isn't too bad if you don't add "that" much water....LOL!
