I'm 31 years old and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. I compete in IBJJF and ADCC Open tournaments about 2–3 times per year.
Right now I'm in a cutting phase and eating around 1,800 calories per day. I know that's fairly aggressive, but it's been working well for me. I aim for 150–160 grams of protein daily, or as much as I can reasonably fit into my calories.
My weekly schedule is pretty consistent. I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Monday through Thursday from 6:00–7:00 PM, and I lift weights beforehand from approximately 4:45–5:30 PM.
I started TRT in February 2026 at 160 mg per week. At that time, I weighed around 185 pounds, was approximately 23% body fat, and had about 77 pounds of skeletal muscle mass. My lab work showed a total testosterone of around 1,405 ng/dL and free testosterone of around 30. I felt a huge improvement in the gym almost immediately—my strength, recovery, and overall energy all increased. I expected a little more from it aesthetically, so my clinic increased my dose to 200 mg per week. My follow-up labs were around 1,505 total testosterone, with free testosterone around 26.
Today, I'm sitting at roughly 170 pounds and about 12% body fat, with approximately 89 pounds of skeletal muscle mass. I honestly feel incredible—fast, explosive, strong, and my physique is the best it's ever been, which is one of my biggest goals. I had repeat blood work done last Thursday, and my current labs came back at approximately 1,650 ng/dL total testosterone and 25 free testosterone.
The biggest change in my physique came after adding retatrutide. I'm currently taking 2 mg every Friday. Since starting it, I haven't changed my diet much at all—I eat essentially the same foods and about the same amount—but my body weight has been dropping steadily. The body fat continues to come off while my muscle mass has continued to increase, which has been really encouraging.
In addition to that, I take fish oil daily and 5 grams of creatine every morning as part of my regular supplement routine.
Going forward, I'm considering experimenting with Anavar at 10 mg per day for four weeks, followed by four weeks off, just to see how my body responds while keeping my testosterone at 300 mg per week.
That's where I'm at currently. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have. Thanks!
