my girlfriend is missing :(

I found out the other day she was supposed to drive down here to sign the lease on her new apartment...i was supposed to fly out of town but since we hardly get to see each other i changed all my plans at the last minute to surprise her.

So i call her cell to tell and i get one of those "The person you are calling is not accepting calls right now, please try again later". I figured maybe she turned it off for the 7-8 hour drive.

So I ended up calling her house later that day to see if she left ok, and her dad tells me that she left but he hasn't heard from her either and that he was worried. So i tell him i'll keep trying and if i hear from her i'll let him know. That was yesterday....

i got another call from him this morning saying he stil hasn't heard from her.
Out of anyone she'd call it'd either be me or her house... so i'm pretty worried to say the least and i have no idea what to do.

I'm especially worried because I know one of her ex's kept calling her earlier this week and harrassing her, god forbid...
i wanted to do something about it and kill this kid but she lives 700+ miles away right now.

i'm pretty down right now and i really have no idea what to do with myself..

Not a good omen.

Tell her dad to call this guy and find out if he knows where she is. I don't know anything about your gf -- so maybe she's at his house or at a friends house. Or decided to stop off at a motel while driving. First check with the ex. If nothing there -- check accident reports in the state.

She's a really tough girl and can always handle her own...so i think he's just waiting till he's absolutely sure.

well, i'm praying that that cell phone message is a result of her not paying her phone bill or something.....since that's not a normal message.But i don't have cingular so i have no idea.

the only person she'd probably be with is her future roomate but i don't have the roomate's #, only e-mail....

filing a report is the last thing i want to do because that's basically accepting that she's gone..but if i don't hear from her soon that's gonna have to happen.

She hasn't seen this guy in almost a year...he tries to call her every once in awhile and she wants nothing to do with him, so she's not at his house. I'm just worried he tried something crazy, in which case....I will drive up there and murder that skinny middle eastern fuck.

Good suggestion on the accident reports though, that's what i'm really worried about...

actually your logic is a little off there. if she's gone it won't matter whether you file or not, but if she's not gone, then it could save her. I think every 15 minutes in america somebody goes missing so it's a fairly common thing to call in and file on
 
Does anyone know the agent or the place she is supposed to be signing the lease on........ask them if they saw her or if she signed the lease.......at least you will know she got there ok.

But call the cops anyway.
 
Credit card usage at gas stations from her house to yours. You said it was 700 miles?
 
If she's found -- that's pretty iressponisble of her to tell her "bf" she's coming in 12 hours -- and then go do something else and not tell anyone.

Unless she's playing a trick to get sympathy like that chick in wisconsin a few months ago or wherever it was.
 
i hope she is alright bro, i would definetly file a police report , and then have her credit card usage checked like someone mentioned.

damn bro, why are you always so negative about everything? Even with what you said before...
assuming she'd be at her's ex's house etc.

it didn't happen like that at all(we both found out each other's plans last minute).
and she's definetely the last person to ever play the sympathy card.
I'm sure there is a good explanation but i just need to know what :(

Try to calm down bro. I know thats hard to do right now, but you need to keep a clear head. Like others have said, have your dad call that ex. Also check to see if she ever showed up to sign the lease. If neither of those checks out, try to file the missing persons report.

I'm sure everythings ok though. Her phone might have gone dead, and she might not have even thought twice about it. But it's always better to be safe, than sorry. I hope it all turns out good. If you need to talk or anything PM me. I'm sure you're freaking out right now.
 
2 day w/o hearing a peep. Something's odd definately.

I'd suggest you consider ALL possible angles and start calling her friends. *Someone* must know where she was heading to or is. Also check credit card usage (u can even do it online). It's hard to even breathe in this country w/o leaving a papertrail.

but no,zero possibility............that's not something i worry about. She's deeply in love with me and very good to me. a big part of the reason she's moving down here is to be with me. i just really really hope she didn't get into an accident....i had a nightmare awhile back about her getting into an accident

she has to work tomorrow so if she doesn't get home by tomorrow then i know something happened.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to call local hospitals.

I hope she is ok.
 
48 hours is long enough to file a mising person's report.

The CC is a very good idea - if anyone can get hold of her credit card statement, bank card - or if you know what card she has call the bank direct. I'm pretty sure that that information can all be trace via SS# alone and is something the police can do.

Also, try not to think the worst - try and stay positive.
 
it does'nt make sense not to file a missing person's report right away

a college girl went missing from nearby and they started a search within a few hrs, the whole community got involved
 
So what's the news... we are all in suspense now. Have you heard anything, and have you guys filled a missing persons report, checked hospitols, etc?
 
turns out she's ok...........thank god. I couldn't sleep or even go into work today because i was so distressed until i heard from her. I was ready to hit the panic button

apparently,her phone service and phone completely died (I guess she only had my number in her phone at the time)....which is why she never called me.
i'm not sure why she didn't call her house to let her father know... that's kind of fucked up and created alot of panic for no reason, but i guess that's between them.

Turns out she did run into some trouble and got a flat going down I-95 and then later decided to stop in a motel for the night so she wouldnt have to drive so much at once.

She basically got down here, signed the lease, moved some stuff in and left....

What truly pisses me off is that i don't think she really thought anything of it and i don't think she really realizes the stress she created for me or for her father. I went off at her (although i probably shouldn't have in the way i did) for not calling her dad, but in the end im just glad she's safe.

I guess that's what happens when your girlfriend thinks she's the toughest bitch in the world.. which is why sometimes i worry.




anyways, i thank you guys for the kind words and support...i was definetely bugging out yesterday and for part of today but having support(even if i dont know you) made it easier. i just hope none of you have to go through something similar, because at least in my mind....i got pretty graphic and negative and started coming up with my own conclusions.

I need to smoke a gigantic blunt after all this drama

sounds fishy bro..TOO many excuses!! if i knew a loved one was waitng for me i would of called within 2-6 hours depending on curcumstances def not 2-3 days later. anyway its your call bro good luck

she didn't know i was waiting for her, that's the thing. I basically skipped my flight in the assumption that i'd see her and get in touch with her and backfired hardcore...although either way i still would have been worried

You don't need to buy her a pager or anything and I hope georgie knows that a measure like that would backfire. Smoke up... I hope you're smoking some good weed.

i do trust her, i have no reason not to......i know that she knows she'll never find anyone like me so i dont even worry. On her end, its the same thing.


and...that's not the reason she didn't call...her phone died and i know she doesn't know my cell number offhand. i can't really bitch about that because i definetely dont know hers unless its written down.

it's all good, and yes im high as fuck
