I think you mistook what I said. I am arguing based on intentions. I believe their intension was to fire her because of her relisious beliefs, whcih they did. You are arguing that it's because of image. Two different things.

Except that its not that I dont agree - its that you dont understand some of the protections afforded to private companies.

You do know that, to all new employees, AF distributes a "Look Book" which details - specifically - what they can and cannot wear. A hijab is not one of them.

Explain how the government hasnt come in and shut down the entire organization, seeing as how they have been doing this for 10+ years.

so you want a clause that says "no hijab allowed in the store?" lol

The way I see it, Abercrombie had a great opportunity to show some kind of heart, vision and value system. Too bad, they failed.
Do they really think their little precious corner of the mall will stay white? Newsflash: the world is changing, and no matter how long and how loud they try to justify their racism, they come out looking like assholes.
You can try to couch it in terms of a "look", but the truth is that they are afraid, they are prejudiced, and they are showing just how limited and gauche their mindset is.
