muscle milk and creatine

hello all,

I was wondering when I should take these to products, If I'm takeing them at the same time?

It's fine to take them together. What are your goals? Weight/height/age? How many calories/fats/carbs/protein are you getting in each day?

Protein shakes and creatine supplementation is just that - supplements - you still need to have a good diet and exercise regiment.

There are also less fattening products out there than muscle milk, but I'll admit that some of it tastes really good.

I thought that creatine should be taken on an empty stomach.

Doesn't creatine bind with food and make it less effective?

I just want to break a plateau.

take the creaine by itself just mix it in a little bit of water and chug it down as close to your w/o time as you can while your stomach is as close to empty as it gets.

muscle milk has a protein mix. its purpose is for staggard digestion. it is good to drink that right before bed. if you are drinking shakes any other time you should use 100% whey.

Oh, I see what you're asking. Creatine is best taken when you're absorbing nutrients the best. For most people, this is first thing in the morning (empty stomach), and post-workout (again, usually empty stomach). I'd do half (like 2.5g) at each point.

Creatine and food are fine to take together. One wont lessen the effect of the other.

And as for when you should take your creatine; it doesn't really matter. The most important thing is that you simply take it, rather than when you take it. You're goal is for saturation which, depending on if you load or not, you're looking at aroud 3 weeks till you're at a saturation point.
