muscle in the neck

Do you deadlift? Alot of people get a strong neck just from this.

If you feel the need to directly exercise the neck you could try:
1) wrestlers bridges
2) buying a harness that you can load weight onto

Resistance exercises for the neck....

Something that has always worked for me over the years is resistance exercises for the neck... let me explain.
In order to workout those muscles located on the front of your neck, under the chin, I place both hands palms facing my forehead, then pressing against my head with my hands, I resist movement downward with my hands. I still allowing my head to move toward my chest but in a slow delibrate fashion. Yes, you will experience some trembling of the head due only to muscular strain but it is well worth it.
I follow the same sort of exercise for each side of the neck... this takes some practice but yields nice results in the end.

Harnesses are the best way to go if you want to really build up your sternos.

wrestlers bridges
that's what I was going to suggest.

Maxmuscle66, that's some good gouge there, I can do that at work. THANX:D

I'm military and the way they measure for body fat is totaly fuct.
First they weight you, and my max allowed weight is 196lbs. at 5'11". Since I was well over that I had to be measured for bf.
All they do is measure your waist and your neck, and they use some defunked formula to get a bf%.

Well when I got to Guam I had plans of entering my first competition, and I bulked up to 230, I was going to go all the way to 240lbs. then cut.
I could still see abs so I felt I was in good shape considering the extra bulk.

Mean while you got str8 fat boys that look like they have a pack of "ball park franks" on the backs of their necks getting the same bf% as me.

This pisses me off! So I was trying to find out some ways to build my neck. A co-worker told me about the wrestler bridges, and I put on almost an inch since a few weeks ago.

Once again thanks for the info!
