Muscle catabolism

At what point do you have to worry about muscle catabolism?

Variables like BF% and caloric intake I'm sure play the largest role. What BF% and caloric intake should muscle catabolism become a concern?

I'm not understanding the question exactly but Bodyfat% has no bearing on catabolism.

Caloric intake does for sure. If you continuously put yourself in a caloric defecit (like when cutting) your body will be in a catabolic state and will be looking to your muscle for energy if it doesn't get it through food. There are a number of ways to fight it though, like with a high protein diet, resistance training, and anabolics to name a few...

Thank you that helps. Let me rephrase my question...

I'm 5'9" 220 and somewhere between 17-20% BF. I consume 2000 calories per day, 150g protein. How much of a concern should I have about muscle catabolism? I lift 3 days per week and do cardio 3 days per week.

Currently running osta 25mg/day, HCGenerate, and formastanzol 10 pumps/day

Shouldn't have to much worry since you have a higher BF%. If you start noticing your strength going down then that is when you need to change something.

If your overly concerned about catabolism consume at least 1g prot per lb.

Your protein is not high enough for one, so catabolism is a factor. Being a higher bodyfat % will not help fight catabolism either contrary to what some may tell you. When in a defecit, your body will burn fat and muscle. You can make it burn more fat and less or even no muscle depending on what you do. Keep the protein at no less than 1g per pound, but in a caloric defecit 1.5g per pound is much better. You are also running Ostarine, so that will help catabolism also since it is an anabolic

2k cals sounds like a good caloric number for your weight if cutting is your goal.
