I would go with the layman's terms because sometimes we just dont like the mumbo-jumbo-- if it's been tested, and proven effective... I dont care-- I'll try it and see my own results. If i want to get into the technical terms, I can do my own research on how exactly it works-- I think many of us buy magazines/books, ebooks etc...for search for better rountines/ and immdiate results... ya know what I mean?
 
if this hasn't been suggested already:

dieting/nutrition for powerlifters vs. bodybuilders vs. the normal person
 
maybe an overview of all the differing types of diets out there, their strengths and weakness's, when they start to show effects, what supplements work well with the diet, what levels of cardio is needed with each diet etc

so you're talking about a scale I assume: like 1-10, worst to best....

yeah, something like that, with a brief pro's and cons section for each section :)

if i was new to dieting, or wanted to change what diet i did depending on what my needs were i;d love something like that

What do you teach?? and at what level??
 
How about a couple of sample diets for different BB's.

Possibly an example of a diet for a mesomorph who wants to go from 205 to 225 without putting on a ton of fat. Also the same diets for ecto and endomorphs. Basicaly try to cover the fundamentals for all body types with a few examples here and there.
