Hi everyone:

I know everyone is asking why I've been away; basically, I've been busy teaching - I'm a teacher as you might all have guessed.

I am planning to write an EBOOK for elitefitness members: (it will be like those books you see when you enter the site - minus the porn)

WHAT DO YOU GUYS WHAT ME TO COVER IN THE EBOOK?
BE SPECIFIC please :)

I can make supplementary Excel worksheets also...

so please LET ME KNOW :)

Mr.X

Definately cover CKD and basic low carb diets.
Maybe a nice diet plan for those who have it difficult to keeping a strict low carb diet
Yummy recipes too! :)

The basic fnudamentals of metabolism..How your body uses certain nutrients..How they get used in different situations..The role of thyroid, leptin and insulin..Basically I think what NEEDS to be covered are the deep dark how's and why's of the body in relation to losing fat and gaining muscle, Not so much the do's and don;ts like the help we give out here. Losing fat and gainin muscle are pretty much what we are all most interested in here. I feel the do's and dont's can be found anywhere however the how's and why's are sometimes hard to come by. I'd say make the subjects just sightly more than simplified (not too dumbed down). I really think if people learn from the ground up (the how's and why's if you will) rather than the do's and don'ts somewhat early on in their foray into this whole shebang, it will make things a lot easier on them, as I'm sure we all feel the same way about knowing what to do, but not knowing why you're doing it to see xyz result.

ideas..

be sure to include some dieting info for balanced diets too... for people that don't like keto, and relationship in timing to exercise...

maybe if you can some info for vegetarians and vegans too...
and uhm.. maybe some info related to a post I made earlier in this forum titled... insulin, sugars, brewers yeast, cinnamon .. since I can't seem to find much detailed info to their relations..

anyway.. good luck with your book, I hope it turns out well.

How many times a year should one bulk/diet? What are realistic goals and why? Burning Inside has it right if you know "WHY" the game is easier.
WHY do you get to a sticking point in a diet? like the one I`m in now. lol and HOW to get out of it? What to look for. What to EXPECT.
Don`t skip the little things, I think they make a big difference. Like "lose bodyfat before you bulk". It may be simple but I DID`NT know that. (I`m glad I do now) The people that already know it will skip over it but the people that don`t... will LEARN.
Sample meal plans.

I don`t know if this is possible but... Alternative type diet/training or reasons for them. This goes back to the "WHY" because some of our schedules CANNOT do certain things and CAN`T adhere to some routines but if we had alternate or knew WHY/RESONS we had to do some things... we would correct our regimens on our own.
Top 10 DO`S or DONT`S or MUST HAVES like words to live by. I know a lot of us "first time" dieters don`t know too much about basics (but learning) and would like definitive RULES. to live by. That we can at any given day of the week diet or not adhere to.
Is it just a dieting E book? If not at some point We`ll all be bulking. lol. So some tips for that.

do you guys want me to get real technical, or just make it in layman's terms so it makes it easier for everyone?

Mr.X

I 'd say, make it in between technical and laymans for the information. As for the Spread sheets, make those simple so that we can enter our stats, and it will tell us what foods we need to eat to get the right % of whatever diet we are on. Also, maybe an estimate of how long it will take to reach our goals based on our current shape. I'd gladly pay money for a program like that. Make em' $29.99 each and I'm a happy camper!

Go over acceptable carb intake on ckd... i.e. fiber intake justifying carb intake, the true meaning of net impact carbs, and different people's ketonic intolerance to citric acid, sweeteners.. etc

Now I have a big bulk of information...

Basically you guys are looking for a GENERAL dieting guide....

I think I might need to do different EBOOKs for different topics; please give more suggestions.

i second these suggestions. i am also very interested in the how's and why's of dieting, nutritition etc.

I would also like to read some technical information, not just layman's stuff.

Another suggestion is guidelines on coming off of diets (any diets, not just CKD) so as to avoid rebound effects. Also maintenance diets guidelines.

I hope this won't be just general advice. The more detailed information, the better.

Thanks, Mr. X. This is a great idea. I will also be willing to pay for this book.
