Motivation 101

Love that second vid; wish they would play this stuff on the screens at my gym instead of the random crap that's on :/

Exactly. I don't qant to watch a frickin golf game when I'm liftin heavy ass weights.

Definition of true strength...particularly the one-handed deadlift around 3:48; enjoy :)

YouTube - best of john pall

Jon Pall was a great lifter but with the one handed deadlift was that only 405? I mean I don't want to sound like I'm saying that's nothing but there are a lot of videos of people pulling quite a bit more than 405 1 handed

YouTube - 474lbs ONE handed deadlift Felix, not pretty
YouTube - ONE ARM DEADLIFT 455 POUNDS (PB)

Hell I've pulled 315x1 with my left hand though I had to use a strap. RIP jon pall

Agreed that it's 'only' 405 but Jon Pall's lift was much more controlled than the guy in your first vid, and strapless compared to the guy in the second ;)

yeah but from someone who does 1 handed deadlifts the controlled part doesnt matter so much it feels the same to your body. Anyway somewhere I read the world record was like 700 and something pounds for a 1 handed deadlift?

No argument from me T. I've never deadlifted with 1 hand so I don't know how it feels like, I guess it's something for me to try soon :D

you should try it it's super fun. I like to do a 1 handed max without straps, then add straps for the hell of it just to see what I can pull. It works the grip incredibly too. The most I've done without straps is 255

great video its really inspirering, and i just recently got back into doing deadlift on a regular bases and my grip always goes out before anything else any suggestions like the best forearm workout?, and im doing it with no straps, lol i coundt imagine doing 4 and 5 hundred pounds with one had like those guys i think my fingers would fall off but i sure would like to get to that point someday
