Heyy..
Just wondering if any of you guys have anything that helps you get out of bed and workout in the morning...
i find myself half the time either unconsciously or consciously turning off my alarm at 6 am and hittin the pillow till 10... i am in college so i can do this...lol...
lemme know what i can do to get my ass up.....
thanx

motivation comes from within really..to me, getting up in the morning aint that hard. its all about will and focus..i know, that if i dont get up, i wont be able to fit my 8 meals into the day..and my scheduel will be fucked up. and that will again lead to a bad workout, and a bad day...

Outside of an ephedrine/caffeine stack - the only thing that's going to get you pumped and primed first thing in the morning is WILL POWER....and a good night's sleep of course....

Sometimes you just have to force yourself out of bed - do some deep stretches, splash some cold water on your face and just think about how good you're going to feel once you're rocking and rolling in the gym!!

i go to bed midnight to 1am and wake up 10 am... its all good

If you don't have the willpower to just jump outta bed because it's time to work out, then you gotta have ephedrine!!

hate stuff that makes my heart rate RACE!

But nothing will give your workout a kick in the ass llike ephedrine, there'e a reason why it's not allowed at any olympic sanctioned event.

Morning is the best time to work out, period. Your mind is fresh, your body is fresh and untired too....

I wake up at 5-5:40 am.... for a long time now.... It is so easy....Plus there are very few people at 7.30-8.30 am in the gym....

I only work out in the morning. It took me 2 weeks of forcing my miserable self to get up, but after that it was no problem. Then I went in the afternoon once, and realized how crowded it was. Get yourself up, and after awhile it will be no problem.

I wake up at 4am drive 45 minutes to the gym and start training at 5am. If you start doing it your body gets use to the time schedule. I usually take a couple of vivarin as well and that seems to do the trick. It mostly boils down to how bad you want it and the dedication it takes to get there.

im in college as well and have to get up at the exact same time in the mornings. i think it all comes down to how bad you want to accomplish your goals.
this morning i got up at 6 and walked over to the gym (1 mile away, and it was 35 degrees out), on my walk I was thinking "why did I get up, everyone else is still in bed and I probably went to be bed a helluva lot later than they did", then I remembered what I want to look like, i thought about how great I feel when I accomplish training goals, and it wasn't hard to conceive getting up at that time.
something that helps me is getting "pschyed" for training the night before, go over the workout in your head imagining your muscles feeling like they are going to explode. the next morning youll be eager to get to the gym.

I train from 5am to 6am 5 days a week. I look forward when I go to bed to my work out the next morning. If you get a training partner and know that they will be there waiting on you, this should help you get to the gym. once you get into the groove you will love it!

Sorry to echo what everyone else has said, but it is just a matter of making yyourself do it.

I find, that once I get into the routine of getting up early and going to the gym, it isn't so bad.

It's always hardest to get back into it after I take a break for work or other reasons.

Grit your teeth and jump out of bed, assuming you don't sleep in a bunk bed :)

I mentioned to my husband that I was thinking about getting up at 5 to do cario. He laughed and said I would NEVER be able to do it.

I started the next day and have not had a problem since. :doublefi:

Forearms, calves, and spinach. That's what popeye had over bluto. However, bluto had shear size and mass over popeye. I likey this thread b/c I have the same problem.:fro:

There's nothing quite like the incentive from a partner. Whether it be encouragement or just to show them that you CAN do it.

:D

Good for you VooDoo Lady. :)

A pity you didn't make a bet with him that you'd be able to do it.
