i like to eat cottage cheese at some of my meals

80cals
1gram fat
4carbs
12 protein
around their

i eat cottage cheese at meal 4 which is about 4:00 and meal 5 about 6:00

this turns into fat?

Think about this - humans are the only mammals who drink milk after infancy, because we're not supposed to be able to digest it past childhood. I think that['s why so many people are lactose intolerant, the ones who aren't have been conditioned by decades of ancestors consuming it. I imagine it's like fertilizer. Someone should analyze the effects of mother's milk on adults and see what happens. Personally, if I think about milk long enough, I get completely revolted because it's the bodily fluid of another species, ick. Too bad it's so yummy :p

Milk gets a bad rap because whole milk is very high in fat. But the skim or 1% is fine. And the cottage cheese your eating, which sounds like lowfat cottage cheese, is fine too. It's a great protein source. I eat it every morning.

Honeynut makes a rather disturbing point though. I sometimes wonder who first tried cow's milk? And how the hell did he or she convince others to do it?

honeynut any animal that is given milk to drink IE a cat after the fact that its a kitten will drink it. Did u ever think that they're are no animals smart enough besides humans to milk a cow or goat ect.

Honeynut - I have an exception to that. My cat is retarded (seriously, it has brain damage.) and still drinks milk from its mother even though its 2 years old :D.

Is whole milk really that good? I've personally never had it before, always drink 2% milk which I don't think is all that great. Its only good with cereal or if your mouth is full of peanut butter.

I think it depends on your taste, there's a lot more fat in whole milk. I love milk products but have a hard time drinking it straight. It gives me massive cramps.
I am surprised to hear about your cat, I had a retarded dog, he was gay! No kidding. Completely ignored females, always tried humping males.
Gymtime is right, cottage cheese is fine, watch the sodium though. Great source of protein.
Bonez, I didn't say it couldn't be done, as obviously it can. milk of whatever is still milk, probably very similar in composition... though I'm sure diet has a lot to do with what's in it and different species diets vary greatly. All I said was that it grossed me out ;)
As for what I said about mother's milk, well, that's produced by a human, for optimal growth and development of another human, if we're drinking cow's milk why aren't we drinking our own? Curious.

man everyone confuses me hehe to many theorys out their........ima just consume low fat cottage cheese 1% or 2% ,depends on days whichever i have in the house...........haha :)

Doofy - This all kinda depends on your goals. If you're trying to lose weight, dairy fat is something to avoid as much as you can. You don't have to cut it out entirely, but there are other fats that are more beneficial for you.

You'll notice your lowfat cottage cheese is just that, lowfat. But 2% milk, although it doesn't sound like much, is pretty high.

Personally, I have my lowfat cottage cheese in the morning and that's pretty much it for dairy. I'll have 2% on cereal on a cheat day only. But that's me, I'm cutting right now.
