Microsoft: Apple's Post-PC View Is Wrong

WTF was that? A history of Microsoft Internet?? Once again late to the browser game. Used their monopoly to destroy competition of a product they copied from Netscape.
So Success = Quality?

Apple Sues Samsung
Apple sues samsung x 2
Apple sues samsung x 3
Apple sues samsung x 4
Apple sues Kodak
Apple sues Palm
Apple sues HTC
ect.

Using $ and power to crush the competition not cool now?

Oh ok - so they shouldn't sue because Samsung came up with all these great smat phone features on their own. Hmmm .. Let's go back and see what Samsung and HTC phones were like before the iPhone. Operating software as well.

No - Apple makes the most money on their products that makes them the largest company in the world. That makes them the best.

Have we come up with one good product that Microsoft created?

Sounds like your mind is already made up that they haven't. The more important point though is, Microsoft makes products that run the vast majority of good products in the world. Like I said, they are far more influential in expanding our economy than any of their niche-by-contrast competitors.

Toshiba, Acer, and that one chinese company all have better reliability.... Windows based.

Profit does not equal quality

There are a lot better Windows-based brands than those. Best litmus test is newegg.

Apple products are niche.
Dumb-ass people line up every 6 months for the same product with minor changes.
Apple owns 8% of the market share for OS.

Apple hardware is consumer hostile. Soldered-in batteries, non-removeable hard drives, they're a service nightmare.

Sure is pretty though.

Outside their small niche of "creative" users in graphics and music, Apple has about 0% penetration where people do actual real drudge office work on computers.

On the other hand, I think Windows 8 would be a massive failure in the office. Unless they come out with a desktop-centric UI, the office will stay on Windows 7.

Perhaps, but I don't link that to any quality type statement. Windows has been entrenched in the Office environment for along time. Computers are on 3 years leases. I don't expect anyone to just throw out their midleased computer to put in a Mac -- no matter how good or bad it is.

However, BYOD might be a better indication. From the few companies that I've seen, they seem to be doing better in that arena.
