Mel Gibson on the juice ??? I think so !!

About a month ago, Mel Gibson was spotted on the set of "The Expendables 3," looking more muscular than he has ever looked. Many were very impressed with the 57-year-old actor's physique, but Gibson says steroids had nothing to do with it.

"That's just hard work," he said. "Have you seen the side-effects of some of that crap? Forget it, that's too scary. Some people say, 'It's inconceivable, how can he do that?' Well, I have always had that body type to do that."

Gibson went on to say that when the photo was taken, he has been working out extensively for three months. His normal routine consisted of lifting weights and cardio for three hours, three times a week. He also had a diet of carefully chosen food and natural supplements.

"I have never worked out three times a week in my entire life," he said. "It's actually helped. My lower back feels better. My weight has stayed exactly the same, except my pants fit."

the guy has a screw loose but the job he did with braveheart was incredible.. people do not realize that not only did he work out for it.. but more importantly he directed it (won best director Oscar btw), invested his own cash in it (a movie that came out with little advertising). and had to film it overseas in horrendous weather (filmed in Ireland in the rain and wind and cold) all while maintaning a pretty damn good physique. I don't think anyone understands how hard that is. one of the battle scenes took like a week to film!! the rock, ahnold and these other D rate actors just have to show up and say some 1 sentence lines in their movies and be jacked. I would like to see them direct, pony up their own cash, and organize a big budget movie ..

The guy has always been fit. Just looks like an in shape older man. Steroids are given way too much credit these days. To many are taking them way before necessary. A good physique can be built without them.

The guys always been in good shape. I have little doubt he's on prescribed TRT but I don't that he's juicing in the sense we juice.

And, he's probably motivated to be perform well in this movie as he's bee a little light on work lately.

Btw. Seen Get the Gringo? It's a great Mel Gibson movie.

Yeah I don't think he's juicing or doing cycles but I bet he's on TRT and HGH though .. Which is fine he's a older man now and wants to stay fruitful

He drank Winny...like every other celeb

Funny, even before he lost his mind I thought he was a douche.

And I know Braveheart is supposed to be so great but I never bought this 5'5" guy switching between scottish, australian, british and American accents as believable. (I did like Road Warrior though -- back in the days before CG when they had to actually drive the cars and do their own stunts.

I agree.. I don't think he is juicing per say, but he is definitely on TRT, with some GH in there too. Test levels in the 1000's and GH could make an older guy look that way

Muscle Memory is a wonderful thing, and I domt necessarily think he touched any juice. Like said, he has always been in great physical shape, so anytime he starts hitting it hard it's going to come back quickly like a freight train

IMO, he probably uses some TRT or HGH mix, he does look pretty thick.

There is only one problem, he's insane, the rest is fine.

Braveheart and Road Warrior (to just pick a few that have been mentioned) are absolutely great movies. Braveheart is well worth all of the awards, I agree with Steve that it took enormous amount of work to make that movie. Road Warrior (actually the whole Mad Max trilogy) has very strong atmosphere, and I really like the steam punk style which it's filmed in.
Yeah, the guy is also complete nutcase, probably always had few screws loose at some level, and as he gets older more screws will end up getting loose and lost.

Thing is, all the great artists tend to be insane, doesn't really matter what kind of art/culture they create, be it music, movies, writing, or painting. Just look at, for example: Salvador Dali, Edward Münch, and Vincent van Gogh. Undeniably some of the greatest visual art ever made, and the creators are all complete maniacs.
Many great musicians tend to be very self destructive, narcissistic, manic depressive, etc. Many having only short career, before their usually in some way self induced deaths, generally at very young age. (Think of Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, list goes on)

You get the point here without listing any more examples.

What comes to Gibson juicing, I doubt he takes anything else besides HRT. Test and GH at his age will get him a long way.

Apocalyptica=his best movie IMO. He directed it, it's all in subtitles but it's awesome.

I was going to say the same thing.

to be able to sit down and write music or write a quality screen play you need to have some screws loose. you need to be able to think up something in your head to pull that off. the straight arrowed 50 year old accountant couldn't write music to save his life, there is a reason for that.

a guy who writes amazing screen plays is Quentin Tarrantino, to write pulp fiction and kill bill etc etc. those were original and amazing screen plays that only someone with an amazing imagination can sit down and think up

the main problem with Hollywood and why most movies stink is because you sign a contract to write lets say 5 movies in X amount of time. if you fail to accomplish that you breach your contract so you think someone is going to write 5 quality movies? absolutely not! they are going to come up with 1 good one and 4 stinkers. then the stinker is going to be picked up by adam sandler or some other shit actor and made into a movie, throw millions at advertising and be done with it. why waste time putting together a great movie when people will go see anything with adam sandler in it?
