Measuring Body Fat %

calipers or a water tank are the more accurate methods..there are calculators out there that involve other things but they are typically inaccurate as your weight, height, etc do not necessarily correlate to body fat percentage.

if using calipers make sure to take the measurements in more than one spot as you may be more prone to store more bodyfat in different places

You mean a pinch test?

Whats the water tank method?

Fill up your bathtub and put a non-electric scale at the bottom.

Lay down and completely emerse yourself in the water. Blow up and read the scale...

Take that number, add 41 and then times it by 5.3889 then divide it by your age minus 14. That will get you your hydrostatic bodyfat measurement.

LOL. that's hilarious. you had me for a second there. i was like WTF?

the cheapest most available somewhat reliable (+/-4%) thing u will have access to is calipers. there are many ways to measure this. u can google the many types. some have u take a couple readings and others take many. supposedly the more u take the moe accurate it is......

lol good one bro

lol, I was hoping someone would try...

Most universities have a hydrostatic dunk test, you can get a bull body analysis for reasonably cheap. That's your best bet...

Calipers are a decent second choice. For most of my clients I use the Jackson Pollock method. For serious bodybuilders over 200lbs the Parillo method is better.

I'll post the equations on here if anyone wants them.
