meal replacements

im getting ready to go to the beach for a week and a trainer here where i live siad if i would buy some meal replacements and only eat those while down there for the 6 days at 4 a day and thats it that i could drop a good bit of weight and not loose to much muscle since ill be getting all the right nuntreints. is this true, and if so, thats a good meal replacment, i saw where the ulta met had 42g of protein with 5g of creatine, what do yall think,


im wanting to do this because when i get back im wanting to start my tren and test cycle and want to cut down as much as i can
 
ULTRAMET, chocolate and or vanilla, both kick ass, mix easy, taste good and contain 42g protein and lots of vitamins and minerals. I love them, especially on trips. I like to take one pack and add in another scoop of just pure whey to up the protein, but those are definitely good tasting!!
 
No meal replacement can replace whole food, I don't suggest ONLY eating those for a week straight.

nothing will happen really. you will probably lose fat since you are eating a 250 cal MRP every 3 hours or so (6 a day is 1500 cals, not much at all, but at least around 250-300 grams protein pretty good for losing fat and maintaining muscle)......but what he is saying is that there is no replacment for REAL food. you want to use maybe 50% at most of your daily intake as protein powders/MRPs/post w/o drinks etc. i am guilty of this often times...relying on premade protein drinks and the like for my daily food intake. its hard to sit down and eat, and when you do its not always healthy.
 
BTW: myoplex deluxe has 53 grams of protein now, and 1 gram of CLA per serving too. 12 grams of glutamine, and 6 grams of fiber. pretty good shit. expensive though even at my cost. i use them a couple times a day on off days....and before bed on w/o days (too many carb drinks post w/o to work one in there early). 6 of those everyday would be nice though. :p
 
i was going to get the one wih creatine in it also, and just use 4 a day, while doing alot of running at the beach so i can loose some fat and start my cycle when i get back, when i get back, ill be eatting once again on my clean diet and 2 meal replacements buit in as well
 
i usually use MRP's for protein, and a carb type drink (say phosphagen HP) for creatine. maybe do 4 MRP's and 2 phosphagen HP type creatine drinks each day???? 4 mrps is not really enough. that is like 160 or so grams protein and almost no calories. sounds like starvation diet to me. at least the creatine/sugar drinks will throw in another 3-400 cals a day and help shuttle the creatine into your system.
 
if i eat 6 then, i will be getting good protein, with low cals and some about 30gs of creatine, with only that for 6 days, shouldnt i lose some fat

yeah, i'd do 6........one every 3 hours or less. then you'll be alright.

when its all said and done, all the meal replacements in the world wont do shit if you are takin in more calories then you burn

yeah, and with protein high you should minimize muscle loss as well. 250 grams protein is adequate i believe.
 
If it were me, I'd have at least 1 meal a day with solid food. I don't think it would hurt to do that & I bet you'd feel better too with a little bit of real food in you. But like I said, that's just me. Something along the lines of grilled steak, grilled chicken, grilled halibut, blackened swordfish, baked potatos, rice, grilled veggies, etc. Those would be good choices. Then the rest of the time do as you planned.......sipping on 3-4 protien drinks throughout the day. I like doing a bunch of push ups & situps when I'm on vacation if I don't have access to a work out facility. You could mix some of that stuff in with your running if you wanted to.

Also, you didn't mention this but....are you going to be drinking alcohol while you're there? That might be another reason to include a little solid food in your diet while you're there. jmo....
 
Low Carb Lean Body. Not as thick as Myroplex and I think it taste a whole lot better. 42 grams of high quality protein and only 12g of Carbohydrates!
 
Personally I like isopure mixed with water, it doesn't fill you up at all. I usually mix up 50 grams of protien and take it 8 times a day while cutting. I also make sure to get in at least a couple meals consisting of clean solid food such as chicken breast, steak or lean pork along with a starch.
 
I TAKE 4 TWIN LABS GAINERS FUEL 2500 DRINKS DAILY PLUS 2 SERVINGS OF CREATINE THROUGH OUT THE DAY WHICH ADD UP TO ABOUT 5000 CALORIES, 200gm OF PROTEIN AND OVER A 1000gm of carbohydrates and also two solid meals of what ever i can fit in. this is easier for me because it takes too much damn time to prepare meals when i can drink them and make out standing gains through out my whole cycle. as long as you are getting the right protein, carbohydrate, and fat intake meal replacesments are just as good as solid food but a whole lot easier to add into your daily routine.

yeah but he is taking in 6 MRPS and no food. so thats 1500 cals or so.....no way that is more than he is gonna burn. :)
 
thanks alot, great answer, its all in the air now,, il do whatever, i can eat some turkey and chicken 1 meal a day, is that the way to go,

I still say Lean Mass matrix by ProLAb is the be all-end of all of MRP's best ratio of macros, and great taste when blended with water and ice. You could add a scoop pf protein powder to jack the protein from 40 grams to around 60 or so. And BlackDog, you mentioned getting the right type of carbs, well the maltodextrin in Gainers Fuel has like a 100 rating on the GI index. NOT GOOD!
 
I'm sure he meant complex carbs, so just eat them with more frequency but fewer total carbs/day. You should be able to get at least 2000+ very clean carbs from just shakes.
