LS, it sounds like you consider a clean diet one that's low in carbs?

Good question. . .

Here is what I consider clean:

1. Foods that provide dense nutrients
2. Foods that burn clean
3. Foods that aren't processed
4. Foods that require little preparation (leave out the butter and other goodies)

When I eat clean, I still eat carbs (potatoes, rice, pastas, and breads). To me, these foods provide good nutrition and yield high energy.

Not eating clean would include:

pizza, ice cream bars, candy bars, fried chicken, and etc.

However, I am putting on mass so I am eating a combination of clean foods and not so clean foods:D

The main key is to eat a diversity of foods to receive adequate nutrition.

As for the question about eating clean and getting enough carbs.

I dont have much of a problem there, I drink 2 n-large shakes a day and that has tons of carbs. Lots of sugars too, but a regular potato has tons of carbs so you could eat 2 potatos instead if you wanted to. I eat the heck out of them. I like to bake me some steak fries.

Back to meat and potatos. My meats consist of chicken and tuna mainly, but I throw in steaks every now and then just to change it up a bit and not get burnt out.

I personally dont have much of a problem eating junk food and getting too fat, unless I set around and do nothing, but I have hella high metabolism and my cholesterol is great. The only thing that concerns me about it really is the sodium. Its always high in fast foods.
