McDonalds for bulking???

It depends on the individual's metabolism, the activity level of their lifestyle, and what the remainder of the person's diet consists of.

I can and do do it, and I do not suffer because of it. If anything, I grow more.

this is the way i do it... I eat the same clean foods every day which equal about 3500 calories and then I eat about 1000-1500 more of pretty much anything i want except things like candy, soda etc.

I've had good success with drinking a gallon of whole milk a day. That has 2500 calories, so it's pretty easy to get 5000+.

McDonalds is pretty anabolic shit. I say it is fine when bulking or trying to gain weight, just don't use it as the staple of your diet. I always say junk is okay in moderation, but not excess. I do agree also that it is an individual thing and that some people can get away with it, and others can't. I can get away with it. I am not a bodybuilder, if I was, then I couldn't. But, as far as what I train for, I am happy with the way I look. I am not ripped or even close to it, but I am not a slob either, and my lipid profile is good, blood pressure is on the low side, so I don't concern myelf with diet so much.

Calories are not calories, some calories, even though the macronutrient breakdown is the same, have more micro nutrients, so my answer is no Mcdonald's should not be a bulking food unless you are trying to bulk your gut. I argree with argent, if it is a choice between Mcdonalds and missing a meal then go have your happy meal, but you should be able to work around it in most instances.

The amount of micronutrients in even what is deemed "healthy" food is woefully low. If micronutrients are a concern (and they should be), use vitamin and mineral suppliments, among others.

As for building a gut, that's amusing. My abs are well-defined year-'round. I eat as much food, "healthy" and "junk", as I can.

I agree with Iron Lion in the sense that, if you're choosing between not-so-healthy foods or missing a meal, I'd go with the unhealthy choice. Just do so in moderation. Plan ahead, to make sure you have the meals ready.

sorry king genetics...keep doing what you are doing and good luck

That's the thing. If you have the genetics, it's acceptable. If you don't, you'd hopefully know it by now. In that capacity, every person must decide for himself.
