Max amount of protein per meal while on cycle?

your question invites this answer:

i can consume 150g in one meal... 2 huge steaks.

but why would i want to?

50mg should suffice my bro.

immediately following intense training you

can take in up to a third of your daily calories within a two hour period.I like to take in about 100 grams of protein right after a workout and other meals 50-60.And ginger will help digest and assimilate the protein.

Uh ...... I think you can slam a boatload of protein in a meal ........

However, can your body use it?

There are limits as to how much your body can use, assimilate, digest, effectively in one meal. I have heard figures of about 50 g max protein per meal.

I cant rememnber where I saw this figure though.

One thing is that taking Ginger Root helps to increase the body's ability in this area, and makes it just easier to tolerate high-volume-protein meals.

Spread your protein intake out throughout the day as much as possible. Not only is it easier for you to digest, you feel have a better effect from the thermal effect of food, by always having the protein in your system. I sometime make a huge supper, and even know I could eat it all in one sitting, sometimes I will save half of it and eat it a few hours later.

When you train hard and hit the juice most men can easily utilize 100gms protien post workout, and probably nearly as much in any other meal as well.:)

There is a certain point where your body can't use all the protein to build new muscle but if I have to choose between taking too much protein and too many carbs or fats I will choose to take too much protein just to be safe. - cbeaks

Im not sure if it is true that your body cannot absorb that amount of protein(not much data supporting this theory) But it is true that your body is probably not going to need that amount of protein at any one time. If your body doesnt need it then it will be stored as fat since fat yields the most energy per gram stored. Hence it makes much more sense to keep your metablic rate up by eating small square meals every few hours so your body can use these nutrients optimally when they enter the body. Thats why it is a great idea to eat a larger protein containing meal right after you workout because your body needs the amino acids to recover what was lost during training.
