ya the cops had to blow off the chains with some device which took them some time which gave the crazy asian more time to kill.. why is there never hero's when shit like this happens..

What kind of gun did this guy have, AR-15? It aint really easy to kill a person with a hand gun, let alone 34 people. It musta been sum high powered rifle.

I wonder how he cornered so many students, like did he kill em in the hallways or did he go from room to room.

At my old dorm a few years ago everyone used to keep their doors open, but still if you were to hear shots from a gun, why wouldn't you just lock your door?

The first shooting was in a dorm two hours earlier. The second shootings were at the Electrical Engineering classroom building. He went from classroom to classroom and unloaded 11 rounds from his 9mm in each classroom.
 
I think they were saying a 9mm pistol and a .22 cal hand gun. When you're shooting fish in a barrell I don't think you need too much firepower.

he went into the science building chained the doors from the inside so no students could escape.. all the doors were looked so he'd just face the door and unload shots into every door he walked by.. two students jumped out 3rd story one broke his ankle chick landed on her skull i think she died..

Virginia Tech's going to get sued bad I bet. Why wouldn't they shut down school after the first shooting? Should of cancelled all classes.... Why where the cops so short to respond?

It's just so sad and senseless. We had that mall shooting here a little while ago, but jesus, 30+ kids? 50+ shot? I get pissed and all, feel a little more violent than most at times, but what the fuck?

I think it might be because only someone familiar with shooting a gun would think of this...
 
This could have been avoided if VT would have closed classes immediately after the first shooting. The first occured at 7AM before classes started. VT didn't notify students about the murders until after the second series of murders started happening.

I know. My cousin goes there. I didn't find out she was allright until just a little while ago. My uncle said it was the afternoon until the lines were clear. I'd like to think i'd be the guy that'd rush the fucker, but if you just saw him blast a handfull of people and they're bleeding all over the place, dead, screaming, i don't know if I'd be able to move. Shit like that takes training.

I don't know what was going through this guy's mind, but I'm pretty outraged -- and I'll say on the record I'm pretty outraged that someone died in a shooting in a dorm at 7 o'clock in the morning and the first e-mail about it -- no mention of locking down campus, no mention of canceled classes -- they just mention they're investigating a shooting a few hours later at 9:26. That's pretty ridiculous. Meanwhile, while they sent out that e-mail, 21 people got killed.

at least one teacher(the guy who got shot and later died) put the students safety above their own and got the students out of harms way as beast possible

That is what I heard earlier. That would be one of the only ways to control a group and keep them from turning on you. He knew once he shot one of the students in the group, the fear that would have over come the rest would give him full control of the situation. I would almost bet he has had some sort of formal militant training.

I was watching this live this morning and saw the original CNN reports
a shooting on VaTech campus,maybe a fatality
and the campus is alerting via e-mail and locking down the dorm
I remember thinking at the time it was a little unsual
in any event it was on CNN pdq and that's your best medium at get out a "fire alarm" message,so someone phoned the new orgs quick
thousands of students too and most all e-connected
a good percentage of which would be habitually checking their e-mail that morning

Doubt it. If they could have gone to VT and passed it up or fucked it up and had to settle, they would have had a much longer life to think about what could have been. They felt fucking alive at the end, better than a long, drawn out life of shit. To me, at least.

my problem is that i fail to feel sorry for these students that died today. I just cannot feel any grief. Ofcourse it is regretable, and i am not saying they deserved it either.

I guess i don't like the fact that they learned the most important lesson in their lives with such a terrible consequence.

That didn't make any sense. I'd choose to live every day like it was my best. The only regrets I have are that I haven't always done that. I'd die happily knowing I made everything of every minute of my life. I'd take that in a second.

Well shit, I can't feel bad for a person when they die, it happens to everyone. I feel for the people around them. The only lesson they learned was that everyone dies. Saying they wasted their lives by going to school is pretty ignorant. What about people in 9/11? were their lives wasted because they were at work? You aren't getting your point across, if you have one.
 
my parents didn't pay for my first 2 years of college nor did they care if i went i got a full ride baseball scholarship.. basically paid kids too take my classes my first two years.. college class taking fucken sucks..

freshman year was prob. funnest time of my life though.. theres nothing like being stacked and being in college

You've also said that they should of grown up to be strippers or labor workers so they wouldn't of got killed.


Everyone has a reason they are going to college. Not everyone goes for the same degree, or for a higher income job. But you've now went and said getting a degree is a joke? Can you tell me why achieving a degree in law is a joke when your dream is to be a lawyer? Can you become a lawyer without a degree? Can you? You tell me what I should do if I want to become a lawyer without going to law school.
 
I went through college not doing much...WHO CARES? Throughout highschool I drank and partied my ass off, I have a g/f now and rather fuck and chill then go drink beer.

maybe i should say i'm sorry. to Vel & Phaded. but i have my own shit i've tried to shed for 11 years and these kids are gonna be fucked up from it. even the ones who weren't harmed. Evil made an appearance today. and i relived my day when i heard this shit. full blown panic attack. just from remembering. i get real defensive and angry and i hope none of you ever have to be exposed to this shit more than you are right now. because it interferes with you living your life.
 
dude apparently chain locked the doors and took out a whole classroom, the jumpers (window) survived...otherwise it looks like you were in his firing range...

only solution is to either BAN guns or ARM everyone...

there is no in-between.
