lowering carbs on days off

Hi guys this my break down on my training days:
50 percent protein
10 percent fat
40 percent carbohydrates

I would like to know if I should lower my carbs on the days off and what percentage should I lower them to, thank you

what you are talking about is carb cycling. it isn't necessarily about lowering your macro's of carbs, it is also about lowering all your food intake including protein and fats too!

so in other words on non workout days eat less. on normal workout days eat more. if you workout a solid 1 hour to reach maintenance it will be 500 calories for a man

Lowering carbs on off days is a great way to keep fat gain down. I think your fat intake is very low though. If you are eating 3,000 calories, that means only 300 calories are coming from fat. that is only 33g of fat. Remember that omega 3 fatty acids are extremely important. That also means that you are eating 375g of protein!!!! That is insane. You don't need half of that each day!

......again, this is just using 3,000 as a baseline number to make my point.
