I'm still waiting for Italian reparations for my ancestral slavery but based on their bonds it's a good idea I moved on and made a life for myself.

I know brownbrown and ledhead don't understand personal responsibility and free markets but I try to enlighten them; I know it's a lost cause in the welfare state but I'm that guy that saw Rome in 400 CE from his estate that sees the collapse of his society.

No, free markets have never been tried because they are always regulated and that isn't always a bad thing. The government should require transparency for publicly traded corporations, as well as policing for fraud. It should be noted the United States is currently the most regulated it has ever been and we are in the longest ongoing recession in modern history. Not in the technical definition but the reality of human suffering and malaise. With less regulation the valleys may be deeper but the recovery is quick.

Seriously splitting hairs? Much Freer markets have been tried, and everytime they hang themselfs with greed and collapse the ecomomy within a decade.
The US is not the most regulated its ever been. It was more regulated in the 60's and 70's. Glass Steagall has been dismantled, statutory tax rate demolished, Collective bargaining ripped away...the list goes on.
