"a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race."


Lets define prejudice...
"injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims."


I'm talking discrimination...that is an action...a verb; It's hard to go from noun to verb.

A racist is someone who hates an entire race. Being prejudice does not necessarily have to be related to race. There are financial, intellect, cosmetic, territory, and education prejudices, that are not related to race. Do you understand the point I was trying to convey?? We all have them in some manner...

on a different point, i feel no...zero...shame or responsibility for anything that happened to anyone when this country was settled (i.e., the native americans) or during the pre-civil war days (i.e., the slaves)...my ancestors were a bunch of hunky farmers and millworkers that moved here in 1910 and worked their asses off and, in a number of instances, fought and died for this country...we payed (and continue to pay) our debt of gratitude to this country through our actions and sacrifices...i don't feel like i owe anybody anything simply because of the color of their skin, or their sexual orientation, or the altar that they bow before, or the language that they speak; any more than i find any of those people to be inferior simply because of those fundamental differences.

I have ADD real bad, and I am having a hard time concentrating right now. Can someone chime in and read the posts and tell me wtf he is talking about and how the discussion lead to talking about nouns and verbs??? I am lost! Because I am pretty sure I already covered what he posted here...

meh i'm not sure i agree with that.
whites suck up a lot of welfare dollars too...but reparations has been paid, albiet in a more cladestine way (pigford vs glickman court case)
