Hey I eat alot of brown rice for the complex carbs and because its inexpensive. I have been eating it multiple times a day plain for over a month. Is there any kind of spices or recipes I can add to this to add some good flavor?

Thanks for the reply. That's funny you say that because I usually just smother my chicken in cayenne. My normal meals are just brown rice chicken and vegetables

I suppose you could sprinkle fax seeds and mix in cayenne pepper maybe squeeze a little lemon into the rice as well. I am pretty content with my cayenne pepper though :) I put that shit on everything ! Sliced almonds and green onions sprinkled on top would be nice too. Alot of times ill make a veggie chicken stirfry , dump a carton of egg whites in with the veggies n chicken and put that on top of my rice.

plain basmati rice tastes amazing and has about the same GI as brown rice (depending on the source it will be just a couple points lower or a couple points higher). I like to sprinkle a little sumac on my basmati rice.

Brown rice has a little more fiber though. Just take psyllium for that though.

There is actually brown basmati rice that i use its not as tasty as white basmati but it gets the job done..
For flavoring, i use turmeric and ms.dash (table blend or any season you like) on to the rice when its boiling, then drain the water when its almost done and cook the rice for 20-30 min with the lid on. Tastes much better than nothing added.

Yeah, but he already has brown rice. Now he can get white basmati rice. OP - That's the kind they serve you at an Indian restaurant or middle eastern, persian, etc. restaurant. It's a very fragrant rice. Smells great and tastes even better. Season it with many different spices.
