So..... this is my first post and I wouldn't have even signed up because until now I have just been reading but I need some help.

I am just starting to add some "supplements" to my training and dieting and just finished my first cycle of Anavar. Now I have been hearing that taking birth control pills while on anything is hindering to the complete process or that maybe you don't get the same results from the Anavar or anything else I might try as a woman. I also have been considering taking an estrogen blocker (Nolvadex).... but wouldn't that make my pills obselete if I was to keep taking them? And furthermore if they didn't or if they did, would it make the estrogen blocker worthless in the first place?

Anyways, no guesses on this one please, I need legitimate answers...

Thanks. :rainbow:

Nolva is unnecessary. It is only beneficial if your BF is VERY low - I mean, sub 10% and you are getting ready to compete. Even then, it is not shown to be THA Tuseful.

Nolva will cause many problems with your body. In essence, it blocked estrogen in your body. This will cause problems such as hot flashes, bone loss, etc. Symptoms will be similar to menopause.

Additionally, it is shown to be pretty useless in pre-menopausal women.

Simply put, it is not a good substance to be messing with.

There are more problems with taking Var and BCP. Those two are usually not taken together.

Do a qick search for Nolva and limit the serach to the Women's Baord. You'll get some info on it.

ANAVAR, being a male steroidal hormone, might indeed block the receptors for estrogen or progesterone in your body. In this situation, I wouldn't advise having your take the PILL as a means of birth control. If you're interested in getting HARD, You should probably get off the PILL. It contains high amounts of estrogen which can result in increase fat deposition and water retention.

Daisy Girl is right - do not use Nolvadex or any other estrogen blocker. Switch to the Depo shot for birth control. You need one only 4 times a year.

I took Nolvadex probably 3 days before my last competition at 7% for figure and it seemed to help me lose water. The problem is the birth control pill that I'm on right now helps with skin problems that I've had since I was young, I have never taken any other pill or method. What is the depo shot like?

So is what you're saying right now that when I was on anavar that I was pretty much not protected from pregnancy at all? Or that there was no chance I would get pregnant anyways because of the anavar so the birth control pill was useless?

Is that what most female bodybuilders do? The depo shot?
