long break from workout...

long break from workout, and yet.. i can lift more, and more easily than before! Here is the situation

I was working full time stocking, and had lost time and energy to workout.. almost felt as if i were over training a large part of the time.

I am now 215 (down from 260 in June) and down from 42 waist, to 36 waist. I haven't worked out in close to a month, and did some today.. i can dumbbell curl 45 easy, without bracing on my leg. stand up and curl 6-8 reps out. I'm amazed..

Also, I haven't had a job for a week and a half now, which equates to no exercise. Ive been eating out, but drinking alot of water (don't drink soda's anymore, at all, even diet). And I have lost 5 pounds in this week and a half. I don't understand, is there any reasoning behind this?

I seem to be able to lift more, and more reps. I barbell curled 85 for a few reps. My last weight on barbell curls was closer to 70.

I'm ranting.. but would truly like input if possible. I'm slightly confused on why I have increased in strength while I have lost more weight, and reduced in exercise.

Just a thought, but maybe before i was overtraining? considering the movements at work, and then coming home and training?.. Or just a tired body?

Your body probbaly did a delayed supercompensation.

Ok, thank you for the response.
I'm currently looking for another job, and will be working much less than before. Going to go heavy training, full training schedule, journal, everything. My progress as far as from where i started at the beginning of the year is huge, and that was from non-organized, very infrequent changes. So with proper changes, training, and logging, I feel I should be able to progress faster, and more efficiently.

well you will find your body will adapt. When I first started training, my job and weights just didn't mix, I was sore all the time, and I was barely reocvering. Each thing was interfering with the other

Now weights makes my job easier, and I recover super fast now.
And my part time job sorta acts like a active recovery

I was working moving pallets and lifting in a grocery/retail store. Working 40+ hours a week, at 8-9 hours a day, made it hard to find time to train, and when I had the time, it severly hindered the training. Moving to a easier job with less hours.
