So the very last Space Shuttle is scheduled for launch in July. Tickets to view the the launch at the Kennedy Space Center went on sale this past week. Or rather you were given the option to register your name for the lottery style drawing of being selected to purchase tickets.

Despite living a few hours away from the KSC, I have never seen a shuttle launch. But by god (little "g") I am going to see this one.

The shuttle passes right by my father's vacation house in Celebration, FL. We stand out on the driveway and watch it streak by. It's one hell of a fireball.

Just drive down. NO idea what day it'll go so be prepared to spend a week down ther. Just ask the locals when u get there where the best place to park and pitch up tent.

You can see it here in Ft Lauderdale too. Even hear the big BOOM when it cracks the heavens open. But I want to be there. You know like feel the ground tremble and the other kind of wet-your-pants type stuff.

After these, American astronauts will only go into space via Russia space program. And I traveling that far to see.
